Twic Mayardit,
Ngok Abyei,
ill advised War.

I asked H.E President Kiir Mayardit to put an end to killings between Twic Mayardit and Ngok Abyei.

I’ve written two important articles on important investigation into Aneet war between Twic Mayardit and Jieng of Ngok and I offered ideas that national leaders forget at their peril, such as perseving peace, fostering reconciliation, respecting traditional borderlines and the security dilemma between two sisterly communities. This evening-juba time, I’m offering up facts about war between Twic Mayardit and Ngok Atungdiak, a simple observation that every South Sudanese leader or Jieng elders across South Sudan ought to have prominently displayed on their mind, on office the wall of Jieng intellectuals, or maybe just tattooed on the inside of their eyelids of those who are leading South Sudan so they don’t ever, ever forget it. Our leaders made war much easier to start than to ending it.

Twic Mayardit and Ngok Abyei know this:

1. It is impossible to know from me how fiercely you killing each other now.

2. Know that your leaders contemplated attacks they sickly underestimated it horrors and vicious cycle of death it would caused.

3. Know that once war starts, the familiar problem of sunken costs invariably kicks in. Once either side suffer losses, leaders from whoever side will want to achieve sufficient gains by writing press releases or beat war drums to justify the sacrifices have occurred in their community.

4. Know that wars continue because the act of fighting itself hardens each other side's image of the other, often one is portrayed as victorious while other as loser.

5. Know that the deterioration of quality of information such hate speech, insults, politicking, and displays of victim bodies on sicial media will prolong the war between Twic Mayardit and Ngok of Abyei.

6. Know that people who start a war between Twic Mayardit and Ngok of Abyei have no interest to end it before they achieve their economic and ulterior political motive, beacuase settling for less or saving lives is tatermount to economic and political failure. Or even worst, the war profitiors or political warlords would consider it as an admission to political su***de that they screwed up big time.

I am heartbroken as I write this piece. I only hope that my sisterly communities, Twic Mayardit and Ngok Abyei immediately ceased fighting themselves to extetmination if not genocide.

God of all times, Father of the World, the architect of human being, animal and Wildlife."God We pray"Am calling and asking for the peace among this two Communities, Ngok Dinka Abyei, and Twic Mayardit."God we Pray"
God Almighty father, you are the answer and you are the edge."God We pray" It has been awhile repeating itself, May you put your blessings Hands🙌to bless, and brings peace among themselves, "God we pray "

Dinka Ruweng historical background

Introduction:

People of Ruweng are believed to have descended from greater Padang sub-clan within the family of Dinka tribe of South Sudan.Their common ancestor is believed to be Looi Ayuel Jiel. They were divided into three clans of Greater Awet which are Aloor and current Awet three sections, Greater Kuel and Greater Paweny. They are currently found in Greater Upper Nile that is to say particularly in Western Upper Nile. Western Upper Nile is now divided into Unity State and Ruweng Administrative Area. Therefore, they are currently found in Ruweng Administrative Area with their Kindred clan also found in Jonglei state. The Paweny clan to be specific.

According to the folktale Looi Ayuel was a great spiritual leader who wont to inhabit a verdant land between two rivers, and his neighbors were Jupin certain folks whose terms of relationships had exact similarities with slave masters' roughshod treatment of handling slaves, because of their relentlessly abused of advantages of power, wealth and luxury by their be***al vicious behaviors.

The narrative says that these barbarous folks had the most crudest uncivilized cultures which guaranteed that if a bull from their herds of cattle mates with other people's cows. The calves produced by their bull must always be given to them because according to their primitive living conditions and customary laws, the offspring of their bulls are usually given to them as their due rights.

This cheer nonsense aggravated the elder son of Looi beyond all senses of possible tolerance and patience, and prompted him into action with firm advertency of tergiverstation.
He presumptuously overstepped these folks' crude uncivilized cultural norms, because he had grown sick to death with their breach of trust with fraudulent intent. He eventually declared war upon these domineering folks without any hesitation.

He fought with them in series of battles and because of these dominating folks enormous number; they instantaneously defeated Looi's group. In the course of fighting Looi got perpetually irritated and decided to desert the land which he had inhabited for all centuries.

Thus, Looi with immediacy, he ordered his group to migrate westward into unfrequented land which he prophesized before that there was a land he had smelled; it was a rich, fertile, arable land which was to be found in the west. So he went ahead of his group, and he seriously admonished them with great caution that they must drive cattle and all other livestock judiciously behind him so as to conceal his footprints from his rivalry group, for fear that if his rivalry found his footprints they would pick the earth specimen from his footprints. The rivalry group were so sure that they would find Looi's footprints because Looi was even-toed (artiodactylous)

Looi believed that if these specimens would be given to a magician; he would use it to beshrew him particularly as the leader of the rebelling group which they instantly hated because of rebelling against their slavocracy.

This rivalry group pursued rebelling section for a week plus until when they reached to river side where Looi and his group were crossing the river. There, they were indeed lucky to find Looi's footprints 🐾. They picked the required earth from Looi's footprints and hurried back in jubilancy and great satisfaction .They took the acquired earth sample from Looi's footprints and gave it to their powerful spiritist who without any hesitation magically used the acceptance specimens to anathematize Looi.

Therefore, after a few weeks of long trekking, Looi's feet got perpetually swelled beyond any available cure of then medical period. As the disease fulminated the group sat down for while to see how their leader's legs condition would transpire, exuding great confidence that their leader would get healthy, but nothing would change as a day came and past. To the utterly dismay of the group, the intumescency of his legs condition got worse and finally led to his demise.

However, Looi had already convinced and urged his brothers and sons to keep moving westward to the land known as the land of Gongajuot. After the death of this great spiritual leader the group mourned and rested in that place for weeks to do all the necessary funeral rites and others prescribed traditional procedures conducted as religious ceremonies after death of a spiritual leader or a great man which were usually marked by ritual killing of livestock and libation of wine.

Thereafter, the performance of all rites and according to Looi's instructions the group with reverent resilience moved westwards trekking long distances which took them months and possibly years by crossing dangerous forests and rivers before reaching to the prophetic land.

Despite the death of their great spiritist, the group convinced themselves beyond all reasonable doubts that death has illimitable dominion over mankind; hence, they encouraged themselves never to be cast down or discouraged by happenstances but must continue to achieve their intended objective of reaching the prophetic settlement that their leader had bequeathed them.

Upon reaching the current land of Panrieng, the elders of the group began to judiciously inspect the land for indicators vaticinated by looi before his demise and after they had gathered enough evidences they sat down with great sigh of relief.

As for surety, they invoked the name of their god 'the mighty Deng' as they used to do in times of troubles and other circumstances of misfortunes.

However, this ritual was exceptionally done for cleansing of the land from any unknown impurities that might have befallen the land before their inhabiting it and also in order to invite the spirits of ancestors buried behind in the deserted land to come and stay with them in the new land; this ritual was also meant to solicit for peaceful staying and protection of the group from foreign invaders, wild animals and plagues.

Thus, after the accomplishment of all humble supplicatory and euctical rites, the new administrant of the group blazed away elegantly in one clause to allow applauses after declaring in his last remarks the good news of having reached the final destination.
He assertively convinced people into belief that the place was prophetic land which had been smelled by their father since the land was unfrequented with people and virtuous with all esplees of splendiferous simplicity of nature because the land was full of profits or products which the ground yields; for example, the verdure of the meadows (Toch) in the Nile basin, the feed of the other pasture land, the grain of arable fields, the forests of gathering edible fruits, different types of games for delicious meat etc.

After having come to term on the issue of the land, the people performed their traditional rites of pe***ng down the traditional peg curved out from black-locust tree an occasion which was done to symbolize happiness, healthy and permanent stay with peace and good luck on the new land without any bad omens.

Finally, the group began to settle according to their pecking order with Greater Awet occupying North-west, West, and South. Kuel occupied South, up to South-east, and North-east and Paweny occupied the whole of the Eastern part of the land. Thereafter, they had settled, they professed to revive the chimera of their traditional and national glories of their heydays.

(The fact is that these neighbours who fought with ancient Ruweng people are being disputed up to today with some saying that the Jupin mentioned above are believed to be the tribe of Jur-man-anger of today who were initially from Luo tribes but now they are torn asunder with some being completely assimilated into Dinka which some believed that this was a curse and anathematisation that Looi had pronounced upon them when was dying)

Religion of Ruweng People

Traditionally, all Ruweng people are considered to be believers of the god that had created the Sun and the Moon and brings rains and makes the land green and productive every year. Although most Ruweng Dinka have been converted to Christianity or Islam (few) still majority of them maintain and respect the religion of their traditional shrine.
Even those who are already converted to Christians or Muslims would still respect their traditional totemic symbols and even would identify themselves with them when they are introducing themselves to other fellow Dinka by declaring what they respect as their totems.
However, still majority practice thier native religion by mixing it with Christianity while small portion had completely abandoned thier traditional religious beliefs and converted to Christianity or Islam totally.

How Ruweng People got dispersed

The original home of Ruweng People since their coming from the east during migration period is actually believed to be Panrieng until today. They inhabited the land until almost 1816 AD when they became enormous in numbers. This fact gave them humongous postive hopes to look wealth that they would find in any areas in their proximity.
By then the Ruweng people used to be under the auspices of one leadership. This means that they used to have one age-set under one spiritual leader.
Therefore, according to the folktale Ruweng People got torn asunder during the reign of Chief. Miakuach Beny Kur who was also a great spiritual leader responsible for age-group known as Door Miakuach Beny Kur.
In 1816 Aloor sections started to moved westwards looking for a pasture land of their cattle until when they reached the current land of Biemnom on the Bhar el Ghazal River which was actually full of verdure and esplees.
Paweny who are now in Jonglei State moved before which narrator who gave me these surmised to be in 1809 and according to the folktale were they said to have gone there in pursuant of prestigious praise of certain folks who were believed to be weak, but they were keeping white types of cattle.

The campaigners before reaching to the land of their targets. They also got attracted by other unfrequented land with verdure and esplees as well which the considered to be better then their original home in Gongajuot. They also admired the land because it was not having lots of termites compared to the land back home in Gongajuot.
So they went and immediately settled to inhabit the land and sent back. messengers to bring their families and belongings that they had left behind to them.

This fact must also attest that land owned by Shilluk tribe now was also unfrequented otherwise the Paweny campaigners would have not crossed without meeting resistance. So it was after Paweny crossing when Shilluk Kingdom began to extend westwards occupying devoid land in middle and crossing the Ruweng people into two.

I expect constructive correction from you brothers and sisters because ideas I collected and them together to make a whole.

Dr. Luka Biong says whether South Sudan is good or bad, it is the country of the choice for the people of Abyei.

He says the area of Ngok Dinka that was transferred in 1905 from Bahr el Ghazal to Kordofan has been defined by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Huge. So the area of the Ngok Dinka (the box) is the area of Bahr el Ghazal and South Sudan.

Partly read the statement below from Dr. Luka Biong Deng.

"What does the future hold for the people of Abyei?

Despite the unfortunate criminal acts in Abyei area, the Ngok Dinka Community should always remember that Twic community is their most important neighboring community and they have no any other choice but to live in harmony and peace with them. Also despite some concerns about the misconduct of some elements of the South Sudan Defense Forces in the area, the people of Abyei voted with almost 100% to be part and parcel of South Sudan and no body will change such overwhelming decision.

So whether South Sudan is good or bad, it is the country of the choice for the people of Abyei. Also the area of Ngok Dinka that was transferred in 1905 from Bahr el Ghazal to Kordofan has been defined by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Huge. So the area of the Ngok Dinka (the box) is the area of Bahr el Ghazal and South Sudan.

The mandate of the much-appreciated Investigation Committee for the Aneet market incident is to find out the drivers of such incident and the culprits involved in such incident but not about the boundaries of the two communities, Ngok and Twic. The issue of communal boundaries is a complex issue in South Sudan that will require a clear national policy direction and guidance. The African communal boundaries are always flexible and inclusive with the right of every citizen to exercise citizenship rights in any territory of State.

The Ngok Dinka of Abyei area are not only South Sudanese as per their community referendum but their area is an integral part of the territory of South Sud

Information to the public.

Following my prior information to this highly respected forum about the steady progress of the construction of the guesthouse.

I am hereby again yet with the latest version of update concerning progress of construction work. The trucks loaded from Khartoum with types of building materials had safely arrived to Panrieng and as I wrote this informative message the materials are being off loaded with joy and thanksgiving by our young men who work like bees.

However, in regards to all baseless fabrications and speculations which had filled the air in Panrieng that the government had rejected the old foundation design with no apparent reasons is not true at all.

But to make the cloudy foggy situation more clear, I would like to testify that there was negotiation kind of talk between the Ruweng Administrative Area government and Brookfield Co. Ltd which is the implementing company expressing a lots of doubt that how firmly the old foundation design had been laid because it was designed and constructed by different engineer with his own architectural perspectives.

The company dare to give the government three serious conditions to contemplate on and has to come out with clear choices:

1) To totally demolish the old foundation design in expense of the new foundation

2) To accept the building of the house on the old foundation design at the government's own risks.

3) To give the company a new plot in order to design their own work with leisure and ease.

The top leadership of the area government led by Hon. Peter Daau Chopkuer and Hon. Michael Jaw Manyiel tried hard to quite hard deliberate on the matter with round-the-clock care and urgent considerations. But without increment on the cost for the foundation.

Thus, with a premeditated action the matter was immediately refer to the Area Executive Council for deliberations which was discussed in the Area Executive Council Meeting No. 015/2022, and after an hour of serious adverten
