Charting the Future of Aviation: Chula Engineering Students Engage with AerCap Leaders in Exclusive Workshop
The afternoon of 5 September 2024 was a landmark occasion for Chula Engineering students as they participated in an insightful Aviation Workshop led by esteemed AerCap executive, Mr Joe Millar. The workshop featured an expert presentation by Mr Millar, Vice President and Head of Technical Asia Pacific at AerCap. Nico Stevenson, Engineering and Technical Operations Associate at AerCap and a proud ISE alumnus, shared her insights and experiences.
The workshop provided students with unparalleled insights into the latest trends and challenges in the aviation leasing industry. Mr Millar shared his extensive knowledge and experience which spans over 30 years in the aviation industry, offering a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within the sector, including the evolution of aviation leasing aircraft and engine design, as well as ESG related topics and industry innovations. Former Aerospace Engineering graduate and recipient of the 2021 AerCap Scholarship, Ms Stevenson, shared insights into her journey from academia to transitioning to the working environment.
Students were particularly enthused by the project discussions, which allowed them to explore real-world scenarios and innovative solutions in aerospace engineering.
Since the beginning of the partnership in 2021, AerCap has been instrumental in enhancing the educational experience at Chula Engineering. This workshop further solidified the bond between AerCap and Chula, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders who are shaping the future of aviation.

Chula Engineering Celebrates AerCap Scholarship Awards 2024
Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Engineering proudly hosted the prestigious AerCap Scholarship Awards Ceremony on 5 September 2024. The event recognized ten outstanding aerospace engineering students for their academic excellence and promising futures in the aerospace industry.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Joe Millar, Vice President and Head of Technical Asia Pacific at AerCap, alongside distinguished faculty members. Mr. Millar presented the scholarship certificates, a testament to AerCap’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in aviation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of Chula Engineering, expressed profound gratitude to AerCap, highlighting the long-standing partnership that began in 2021. He emphasized how this collaboration has significantly enriched the academic and professional trajectories of Chula’s students. The scholarship recipients also shared heartfelt thanks, emphasizing the life-changing impact of AerCap’s support.
The AerCap Scholarship is fully funded, covering all tuition and program fees until graduation. It also offers the students the opportunity to participate in an internship and research projects with AerCap. The AerCap Scholarship continues to play an instrumental role in empowering Chula Engineering students, enabling them to excel in their academic pursuits and contribute meaningfully to the aerospace industry.

เมื่อวันที่ 4 กันยายน 2567 จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิทยา วัณณสุโภประสิทธิ์ คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และ บริษัท บางกอกแอร์ เอวิเอชั่น เทรนนิ่ง เซ็นเตอร์ จำกัด โดย พลอากาศโทเดชิศร์ เจริญวงศ์ ประธานกรรมการบริษัท ได้ร่วมลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ ณ ห้องประชุมสวนรวมใจ 2 ตึก 3 คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์

Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and Bangkok Air Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd.
On September 4, 2024, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Associate Professor Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Bangkok Air Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd., represented by Air Marshal Dechit Charoenwong, Chairman of the Board, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic collaboration at the Suan Ruam Jai 2 Meeting Room, Building 3, Faculty of Engineering.

KAIST Delegation Visits ISE to Explore Collaboration in Nano-Engineering
September 2, 2024 – The Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) delegation visited International School of Engineering to explore potential collaborations in the Nano Engineering Program.
The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by the ISE Management Team and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charusluk Viphavakit, Chairman of the Nano-Engineering Program. During the visit, Dr. Viphavakit provided an in-depth introduction to ISE’s cutting-edge Nano-Engineering research and facilities.
The discussions focused on aligning research interests and identifying collaborative opportunities that could benefit both institutions. The meeting marked a significant step towards fostering international partnerships and advancing innovation in the field of Nano-Engineering.

Final exams: November 4 – December 8, 2024

⏰The 1st and 2nd floors will be open 24 hours.
⏰The 4th and 5th floors will remain open from 8:00 AM to midnight on weekdays, and from 9:00 AM to midnight on weekends.

เมื่อวันที่ 29 สิงหาคม 2567 คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ร่วมกับแผนงานกองทุนศตวรรษที่ 2 (C2F) จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จัดงาน “CU Power of Togetherness towards U Top 100” ณ หอประชุมคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ชั้น 1 ตึก 3 คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิทยา วัณณสุโภประสิทธิ์ คณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ เข้าร่วมต้อนรับผู้บริหารจากจุฬาฯ

🎓📑การรับเอกสารจบการศึกษา (Instructions for Obtaining Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificates)
Students who have received approval from the University Senate and wish to obtain their official academic transcripts and degree certificates (four copies in both Thai and English) may follow these procedures:
1. In-Person Collection:
- Location: Office of the Registrar, Chamchuri 6 Building
- Days and Hours: Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Required Document: Original national ID card or student ID card.
2. Postal Delivery:
Fees: A postal fee is applicable.
- Standard mail: 160 Baht
- Express mail: 290 Baht
Procedure:
- Complete Form CR42/2. Details are provided on the back of the form. (Download the form at www.reg.chula.ac.th / Students / Forms)
- Transfer the postal fee to Krungthai Bank, Account Number 0403854387, Account Name: Registrar’s Office.
- Email the completed form along with the transfer slip, including your name, address, and phone number, to [email protected].
📌Important Notes:
- Senate Approval: Verify the Senate approval date on the Registrar’s Office website (Graduate Information Inquiry). https://www2.reg.chula.ac.th/.../InquiryGradua.../index.html
- Collection Period: Transcripts and certificates can be collected one working day after the Senate approval date and must be collected within 60 working days.
- Provided Copies: Four copies of the transcripts and certificates will be provided free of charge. Additional copies can be requested by submitting a separate application.

🎓เปิดระบบลงทะเบียนบัณฑิต และให้พิมพ์บัตรเข้าซ้อม สำหรับพิธีพระราชปริญญาบัตร ปีการศึกษา 2566 แล้ว
Graduate Registration for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony is now open. (English Version below)
บัณฑิตที่จบการศึกษา และมีความประสงค์จะเข้าร่วมพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร จะต้องลงทะเบียนทาง ccr.chula.edu ก่อนถึงวันซ้อมครั้งที่ 1 ของคณะตนเอง
ขั้นตอนการลงทะเบียน
1. ล็อกอินโดยใช้เลขประจำตัวนิสิต และรหัสเป็นเลขบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน 13 หลัก
2. กรอกแบบสอบถามเรื่องภาวะการหางานของนิสิต
3. อัปโหลดภาพถ่ายบัณฑิต ขนาดไม่เกิน 20MB โดยเป็นรูปภาพปัจจุบันในชุดสุภาพ เห็นหน้าชัดเจน ไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นรูปทางการหน้าตรง ไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นรูปใส่ชุดครุย
4. พิมพ์บัตรเข้าซ้อม เพื่อนำไปแสดงในวันซ้อม

Graduates who wish to participate in the commencement ceremony must register through ccr.chula.edu before the first rehearsal.
Registration Steps:
1. Log in using your student ID number and 13-digit national ID card number or passport number (for foreigners) as your password.
2. Complete the graduate employment survey.
3. Upload a recent, formal portrait photo of yourself (no larger than 20MB). The photo should clearly show your face. A formal, frontal headshot in academic gown is not required.
4. Print your rehearsal ticket and show on rehearsal day.

🎓ระเบียบการแต่งกายวันรับจริง (Dressing Guidance for commencement ceremony)
บัณฑิตจะต้องแต่งกายถูกต้องตามระเบียบเพื่อเข้าพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร และในวันถ่ายภาพหมู่
สำหรับวันซ้อม บัณฑิตสามารถแต่งกายด้วยชุดสุภาพได้ ตามรายละเอียดในระเบียบนี้ https://bit.ly/3yZKA9B
- Graduates must dress according to the prescribed regulations for the graduation ceremony and group photo day.

ประกาศจากสำนักทะเบียน
1. นิสิตที่ยื่นคำร้อง (ลาพัก/รักษาสถานภาพ/ขอคืนสถานภาพเพื่อลงทะเบียนเรียน) มาที่สำนักงานการทะเบียนแล้ว จะสามารถชำระเงินทางแอปพลิเคชัน CU NEX ได้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 30 ส.ค. 2567
2. นิสิตที่ยังไม่ได้ยื่นคำร้อง (ลาพัก/รักษาสถานภาพ/ขอคืนสถานภาพและลงทะเบียนเรียน) หรือคำร้องถูกตีกลับไปก่อนหน้า ให้ส่งคำร้องกลับมาที่ สำนักงานการทะเบียน อีกครั้งโดยด่วน โดยเอกสารจะต้องส่งถึงสำนักงานการทะเบียนภายในวันที่ 5 ก.ย. 2567 17:00 น. และจะสามารถชำระเงินได้หลังจากเอกสารส่งถึง สำนักงานการทะเบียน 1 วัน
โดยทั้งสองกรณี จะต้องชำระเงินภายในวันที่ 9 กันยายน 2567 เวลา 23:00 น.
หากดำเนินการตามนี้จะไม่ต้องชำระค่าคืนสถานภาพ

Announcement from Office of the Registrar
1. Students who have submitted a petition (leave/maintain status/request for reinstatement to register) to the Office of the Registrar will be able to pay their tuition fee via the CU NEX application starting from August 30, 2024.
2. Students who have not yet submitted a petition (leave/maintain status/request for reinstatement and register) or whose petition was previously returned, must send the petition back to the Office of the Registrar again urgently. The documents must be sent to the Office of the Registrar by 5:00 PM on September 5, 2024. Payment can be made 1 day after the documents are sent to the Office of the Registrar .
In both cases, payment must be made by September 9, 2024 at 11:00 PM.
If you follow these steps, you will not have to pay the reinstatement fee.
