A quick, budget stencil job I did for big dude, Bashir at Tiger Eye MMA. Hes the Godfather of Pakistani MMA and does a lot for his community wherever he goes. He even has a movie about him called The Pakistani Fighter.

I made sure to do a good job because he probably could kick my ass by flicking me with his finger.

But seriously, he's a super nice guy!

In light of the news of Speakerbox changing locations, I've looked back at some of the posters and videos I've done.
A great deal of these had been free done for free; for the bands,Eddie, and the scene. It was great to be a part of the Speakerbox, playing there to more behind the scenes. I got to see my younger brother play here and friends (on and off stage).

Cant really explain how excited I was to be a part of this! When I first moved to Bangkok and Eddie at Speakerbox asked me to do posters, I always had my sights set on being able to do art for this band. I wont tag them because I already blew em up!

Bok (บอค). Not sure of the purpose, but they were drunk AF and rowdy as hell. They get their name from slamming bamboo on the ground.

A small part of Thai Sound System culture. Dek Waen and Skoy usually freakers infront of the speakers. Quite a unique sub-culture. Motorcycle styles shared with Indonesia, this is one of the original motorcycle gang types of Thailand. Though the motorcycles are similar in neighboring countries, the music style is very much unto this Thai subculture.

The กวนตีน (annoying/teasing) dance style is very unique to the culture. I didn't know what to think at first. The skoy dance provocatively, the dek waen dance like a cartoon character.

They like drink, dance, f**k, and fight. A subculture not appreciated by most Thais and seen as menacing to the authorities.

A culture I've been lucky enough to engage with and even be a part of.
