- Travelers entering Thailand are not required to show Proof of Vaccination or COVID-19 test results. All travelers can freely travel to Thailand without any COVID restrictions.

- Travelers are not required to obtain a Thailand Pass or Certificate of Entry (COE). There is no need to download any mobile app.

Ayutthaya is one of the top 50 places to visit post-pandemic, says Forbes Advisor

According to the website of Forbes Advisor, Ayutthaya is one of the 50 cities around the world that should be visited after the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has subsided. It is one of the eight places in Asia featured in the list.

Ayutthaya is already famous for monumental remnants of old palaces and temples spread across a tranquil landscape and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Forbes tells its readers that the historical city dates back to 1350, and advises them that, even though they would be able to travel from Bangkok on a day trip, staying the night is even better, so that they can see much more.

Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ranks Thailand eighth-safest country in the world.

According to the latest survey results by Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, American tourists generally see that Asian countries are safe. And the number who think so has been increasing for more than four years.

The survey results from the "State of Travel Insurance Report" in 2022 showed that South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China, and Vietnam have all increased their safety rating this year. The survey was conducted in September 2021 by asking 1,500 American tourists their opinions on the subjects of crime, terrorism, transport and health, the safety of women, racism, and LGBTQ+ issues.

The top ten countries that are considered safe by American tourists are as follows:

1. Canada (71.94 points);
2. Iceland (70.88 points);
3. Sweden (70.42 points);
4. Japan (68.58 points);
5. Ireland (66.75 points);
6. Switzerland (66.01 points);
7. South Korea (65.84 points);
8. Thailand (65.81 points);
9. New Zealand (65.27 points);
10. Australia (65.18 points).

📢 Entry Measures into Thailand by Air travel✈️

📌 **Registration on Thailand Pass starts on 29 April 2022 (00.01 hrs Thailand Time)
From 1 May 2022, travelers entering Thailand by air will be subject to new entry measures, as follows;

🔴 1. Fully Vaccinated Persons must :
- Register on Thailand Pass
- Attach required documents including passport, certificate of vaccination
- Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
(COVID-19 test, both prior to and after arriving in Thailand, is no longer required)

🔴 2. Unvaccinated Persons
🔸 (Option 1 - Exemption from quarantine) Travelers with a negative RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling must :
- Register on Thailand Pass
- Attach required documents including passport, and COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling (must attach on Thailand Pass only)
- Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
(Any COVID-19 test after arriving in Thailand is not required)
PLEASE NOTE Travelers who have been approved to enter Thailand under AQ scheme but wish to enter Thailand under exemption from quarantine must re-apply on Thailand Pass.
🔸(Option 2 - Quarantine) Travelers who cannot undergo an RT-PCR test result within 72 hours before traveling or wish to be quarantined must :
- Register on Thailand Pass
- Attach required documents including passport, Alternative Quarantine (AQ) hotel confirmation for 5 days (including 1 RT-PCR test)
- Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
- undergo an RT-PCR test on Day 4 - 5 in Thailand during the mandatory 5-day quarantine at AQ hotel
PLEASE NOTE Travelers whose Thailand Pass have already been issued can travel with the issued QR Code and do not need to register for new Thailand Pass.

Bangkok’s global ranking as a convention city has moved up from 8th place in 2020 to 6th in 2021 in the latest edition of the International Convention Destination Competitive Index compiled by Australia-based convention and meetings industry consultancy GainingEdge. The annual report is an analysis of 101 destinations with the largest number of international association meetings from 2017–2019 according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).

Cities are ranked in terms of their infrastructure, accessibility, logistics, professional community, destination appeal, and cost to meeting planners and organizers. The top 10 convention cities for 2021 are Paris, New York, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok, London, Barcelona, Istanbul, and Washington. In Asia-Pacific, the top 10 are Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Macao, and Bali.

Bangkok’s improved ranking came at a time when the city is gearing up for a resumption of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) with a new resolve. The city will be hosting the 2022 Global Summit of Women from June 23–25 and unveiling the newly-renovated Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in September. QSNCC will be the venue of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in November this year. To strengthen Bangkok’s appeal, TCEB is organizing an international familiarisation trip in late March 2022, featuring new development of the city’s facilities and attractions undertaken during the pandemic.

The 2021 International Convention Destination Competitive Index is an assessment of product quality in each destination. The report focused on three areas – hygiene factors, competitive advantages, and key differentiators. The index is based on primary research and third-party sources such as ICCA, the World Bank, the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations. It is designed to help cities identify the best course of action to speed up their recovery from the pandemic-induced market downturn.
