Today we're off to Whitby in Yorkshire. Have you ever been? Does the beach really look like this?

Here are 3 fun facts:
1. Whitby taught Captain Cook to sail - that's right, the famous Captain Cook, he even has his own museum here.
2. Dracula was born in Whitby... well, not quite but Bram Stoker visited and fell in love with the town and used the 199 steps, St Mary’s churchyard and the Abbey ruins as settings for his novel.
3. Whitby is haunted, yep, haunted! It's a hotbed of paranormal activity, with ghost hunters from around the globe coming to the town each year to experience paranormal activities.

Hey there chip shop fans, it's been a while but our mini refurb is finally complete and we are back OPEN and ready to welcome you!!

PLUS, it's FRIIIIDAY and as it clearly states, you MUST eat fish 'n' chips on a Friday! We're not entirely sure where it says this, but it most definitely does say it somewhere! Definitely!

We're open from 12pm until 9pm today at our Bangrak Beach location, stop by and grab yourself a healthy portion of lightly battered cod or haddock, a battered sausage, a big portion of triple-cooked chips and your choice of sides or sauces. Are you team mushy peas or curry sauce? Rumour has it you can tell where you're from just based on this information alone.

On 1st April 1980, the seaside town of Brighton opened the very first naturist beach in Britain. It is one of the best known and most public in all of the UK.

It originally sparked some debate with local politicians where Councillor Eileen Jakes was accused of "pandering to weirdos and perverts".

Fellow town councillor John Blackman said the beach was a "flagrant exhibition of mammary glands". He went on to say: "I personally have no objection to people showing their breasts and bosoms and general genitalia to one another. Jolly good luck to them, but for heaven's sake, they should go somewhere more private."

This area of the beach is still open and fun fact, our social media manager used to live opposite the nudist beach and has a very funny story, involving a lilo and a gust of wind.
