The panel will feature 3 experts on the matter, Berdal Aral who will analyze the issue not only on how one nation-state is suppressing another nation, but also will highlight regional, international, and global dimensions which implicate the hegemonic world system, Yücel Acer will reveal the dynamics from a legal perspective of the scope of the International Criminal Court decision to start a preliminary investigation into the situation of Palestine, and Khalid el-Awaisi, who will review the most recent developments of the impasse. Throughout the panel, all speakers will be cordially invited to respond to questions regarding the Recent Developments in the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse through different perspectives.

While the region’s significance will inevitably rise in the coming years, we believe, this panel will contribute to attempts to examine and comprehend the regional challenges from a different perspective.

The last issue of Insight Turkey in 2020 focused on the Libyan crisis, underscoring both promises of internal reconstruction and challenges fueled by different external actors intervening in the Libyan crisis. As a follow-up event, Insight Turkey organizes a Web Panel, featuring contributors to the fall 2020 issue who will discuss the most important current issues and the future of Libya.

The panel aims at elucidating historical roots and current aspects of the often opaque transformations and developments taking place in Libya. By bringing together four distinguished experts the panel thus aims to achieve a better understanding of the role of external actors in the Libyan crisis.
