Mountain water swimming and therapy for the horse.

For a girl that only likes the sea in August it's been mind over matter.
It's very cold yet so refreshing and my body, mind and spirit love it. It began with just a paddle, then up to my knees then I would leave and feel pi**ed off I never went fully in as my.mind was telling me its to cold. So the next time I walked straight and swam and now its just an exhilerating experince and will hopefully set me up for autumn, winter swimming in the
Sea.

And this duck is so cute it just hangs out with us.

A little about Alchemy Rooms Side and her rebirth and why I have no pictures of the rooms as yet.

Our aim was to use local craftmens and materials. The doors and windows are all handcrafted by local craftsmanship. In fact, all the wood you see on her.

The doors we had made to add character and meaning the doors especially which you can hear all about if you come one day.
The stairs are all hand made to spec and the internal doors too.
The beds are made by our design as is the furniture.

My floor tiles were sourced I had a design in my head and the project manager sourced them for me laid beautifully by a local marble, stone craftsmen and his 3 sons such an amazing team and job they did they look stunning.

Showers built to the spec in my head again the tiles sourced this all took a good while as I wanted what I wanted, and again, after many samples, they found them for me.

Curtains a month of looking searching the thing was the first pair I saw was the ones, but we have a budget, and it blew it, so I searched all over town only to get the first ones that blew the budget 😬

Lighting - months online, looking local nothing I felt like I had to make do then boom I remembered a shop Murat took me to just up the road. We went, of course Murat knew the owner. I showed him my idea, and he said no problem, drew my lights, and had them made for me.

Sinks in bathrooms I designed I hated them the communication was totally off. S**t no sinks.
I went to the local bathroom shop and showed him a pic he opened his computer and showed me all he had, and BOOM, there they were similar to the ones in my head. We ordered 4, and another wait.

Shower and tap accessories we ordered from the catalogue, and yes, we thought we had it in the bag when Murat says he wants to see the showers before he pays. Man reluctantly went to get one to show us, and when he handed it to me, I was like, NO way these shower heads are s**t plastic. BALLS, no showers.

This is a little of the journey, but now we have everything now to finish her. It's just a matter of time before all her lights turn on for all to see 🧿💚

From the coast to the river, just 15 minutes from Alchemy Rooms.

So worth a day trip of River swimming in the soft mountain water, canoeing if you fancy, village breakfast or fish dinner and chill. Lots and lots of chill AND the highlight is there is NO phone signal 🫶

It's my favourite place and so close to home.
