Posted • Time travels fast when you’re having a blast! My two months in Turkey are over 🦃. I’m grateful for the amazing time filled with paradise-like climbs and lovely people. Climbing is awesome, but the people I shared all these moments with, made it a trip to never forget. I came to Turkey with high hopes and a lot of lead climbing fear, and I leave this place with a full heart, newfound confidence and a route bucketlist longer than my arm 🐒.

PUBLISHED - Öztürk’s 7th edition of the new Rock Climbing Guide to Antalya is out! When Öztürk Kayıkçı saw the stunning cliffs of Geyikbayiri in the year 2000, it turned his life upside down. He changed his career and moved to Geyikbayiri. With friends they collected bolts wherever they could and opened the most amazing lines. Geyikbayiri became the first climbing area of international renown in Turkey. Today it is a vibrant climbing valley and home to Öztürk and many other climbers.

Writing this new edition was again challenging - like with bolting new routes, Öztürk is keeping his standards high. The guidebook presents 1500 sport climbing routes in a fresh layout, awesome pictures and with additional practical overviews of the crags. It includes the new sectors of Michi, Echoes Right, Koridor and Top Alani. Plus the newly bolted climbing area’s Beycik and Akyarlar. It also gives all the information about the sport climbing to be found around Antalya: Geyikbayiri, Citdibi, Akyarlar, Beycik, Olympos, Cirali and Kaputas plus the deep water solo area in Adrasan.

These new big boys guarantee a hot shower 🔥 Each of our showers has its own electric boiler. Connected with the water solar panels the boilers use less energy to generate warm water. The glass panels of our old installation would sometimes break due to the pressure of the boiling water - the new technology panels are more heat proof. Oh and on the other roof we have solar panels - Thank you Sun 🙏☀️😎

The December Clan - they arrived here with ambitious personal goals - they ended up drinking way to much beers - still… the final score in the combined Clan Tick List is high 👍🤭🤪

Posted • 5 years together, what a RIDE…
A bumpy ride for sure. Rebuilding a camp - barely knowing each other; communicating in English - not our mother tongue, living on 8 m2 - cooking in the common kitchen, Covid-19 - with extra Schengen visa obstacles. So much we have learned but also so much we have laughed.
Think positive and keep laughing is Mümin’s lifestyle. More adventures are to come. I’m ready for the next ride babe!! 😜😘🥂

Day trip deep water solo in Olympos! 💦 The cold water did not stop anybody to try again and again!! 🐠

Bolting Antalya team is on fire! All routes in Gizli Bahce are rebolted + 7 new routes! 🔥🔥🔥

✨Still in hibernation, coming from cold Holland where climbing gyms were closed (again..), Tijana arrived not so fit and confident in our camp as she had hoped. Nevertheless, the first day, she hang up her quickdraws in her project, determined and focused on her goal. Not letting her frustrations pull her down. We saw the draws hanging from the camp, but Tijana was not always there, just climbing some other stuff. Until two weeks later, she send ‘Dragon Fly’ in perfect flow state, riding the single tufa like riding a bike. Bravo Tijana! 💪🥳
