In collaboration with renowned typographer and researcher Onur Yazıcıgil, this study seeks to explore the historical dimension of antique Greek and Roman stone inscriptions in the Aegean. The words ‘ΓΥΝΑΙΚΑ ΣΑΝ ΚΡΑΣΙ’ translate as ‘WOMAN LIKE WINE’ which is derived from a saying that honour’s aging, and chooses to see it as beautiful as the maturation of a fine wine.

Incredible façades, intricate metalwork, mind-altering art and all-round inspiration

In collaboration with renowned typographer and researcher Onur Yazıcıgil, this study seeks to explore the historical dimension of antique Greek and Roman stone inscriptions
in the Aegean.

The lettering work on these pieces is a result of Yazıcıgil’s month-long research project which aimed to revive original stone carving works in ancient city of Pergamon.

The words ‘ΓΥΝΑΙΚΑ ΣΑΝ ΚΡΑΣΙ’ translate as ‘WOMAN LIKE WINE’ which is derived from a saying that honour’s aging, and chooses to see it as beautiful as the maturation of a fine wine.

This floral enamel ring series contain 18K solid gold 'stones’, hand enameled and decorated with a pretty little 18K solid gold embellishment in the middle.

This original design is perfect for both daily use and special occasions, and can be used as an alternative engagment or wedding ring, for those who opt out of using traditional diamond rings.

The enamel and flower are hand set, using age-old methods. Hot enamel art was born in 1200 BC in the Mediterranean, where we make this item :) We love to mix visual styles and making methods to create heirlooms that tell stories that connect visual cultures and craftsmanship techniques.
