Honored to host in Claudy Jongstra, renowned Dutch textile artist, and her team for breakfast ahead of tomorrow's art fair Contemporary Istanbul. We discussed and , focusing on her use of Drenthe Heath sheep wool and plant-based dyes that resonate with Türkiye’s rich textile traditions.

Until the 30th of July, the exhibition ‘Turkish female pioneers’ will take place at the Beyoğlu Municipal Art Gallery. This wonderful exhibition tells the stories of the Turkish women who came to the Netherlands on the basis of the 1964 Labor Treaty. 🖊️ Pioneers is the right word to describe them. By highlighting these stories, this exhibition emphasizes the bond between are countries 🇳🇱 🇹🇷 and the equal position of women all over the world. 🌍

On the occasion of International Women’s Day we co-hosted with Consulate General of Sweden, Istanbul a debate on “Labour Market Access of Women”, sharing good & bad practices in 🇸🇪 🇳🇱🇹🇷. A big thank you to the keynote speaker Charlotte Boström, Swedish writer based in the Netherlands, moderator Sevda Alkan program analyst at UN Women Türkiye, Ufuk Gedikli managing director at Randstad Turkey, Müge Arpacıoğlu H&M Türkiye country manager and Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası president of Institut du Bosphore and board member of YANINDAYIZ Derneği & all participants in the event!

Looking back at an animated event this weekend, where inclusive learning materials for Human Rights education with children were presented. The guides, animation films and digital game were developed by İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Çocuk Çalışmaları together with children. The project was supported by the 🇳🇱 Human Rights Fund.

Last year 🇳🇱facilitated the opening of the Tulip Centre🌷in earthquake-hit Kahramanmaraş, providing children and mothers a safe space for cultural activities. A stunning tapestry after Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring made there now adorns our

75 years ago the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted, closely followed by the European Convention on human rights. A human rights architecture that needs continuous maintenance, reaffirmation & strengthening. In this vein the Consulates General of 🇩🇪, 🇸🇪 and 🇳🇱 organised an international forum on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. Discussing the interrelation of human & environmental rights, there is a role to play for all of us. Only together we can amplify the voice for human rights!
