The Power Of Colors
1st International Jointly Organized Online Watercolor Contest
is a project of
GlobArt NFT IWS & IWS TURKEY & IWS Ay Art Gallery
**IWS TURKEY TEAM IS CELEBRATING WORLD WATERCOLOR DAY & 11th ANNIVERSARY OF IWS ON 23 JANUARY**
The IWS team is inviting national and international watercolor artists to participate the first international juried contest. This contest aims to create a new bazaar for the watercolor artists in our changing world.
ELIGIBILITY
Participation for all artists over the age of 18 who accept the terms and conditions available hereunder.
1. The theme is free and original artworks in watercolor technique on paper.
2. The artworks must be painted by the artists themselves and should not be derived from photos or artworks of other artists.
3. The original artwork dimensions should not be smaller than 28x38 cm and not bigger than 56x76 cm
4. Each artist can submit up to 3 artworks but each of them with 3 different concepts (landscape, portrait and flowers or animals)
JURY
The members of the Jury are internationally recognized artists.

STAGE I: PRE-SELECTION
There is no fee for this stage. The application process involves sending an email to [email protected] with attached Registration Form and digital reproductions (photos).
The artworks for the contest will be photographed professionally for the exhibition. However, the pre-selection stage is accomplished on photos submitted by the artists. Following parameters for the photos to be sent by email : JPG or TIFF format in the original color profile of the artwork and without any additional processing of the file; resolution 300 pix/inch, and image size at least 20 cm on the long side.
Please send the image correctly and name the file in English as follows: “Country_ ArtistName _PictureName_Size”,
e.g. “Turkey_AliKaplan_Sand_76x56”.
STAGE 2: AFTER-SELECTION
Following the selection, acceptance e-mail will be sent to applicant for the payment through bank account or cryptocurrency. Sending the original artworks is not needed.
Exhibition :
The well-printed copies of selected artworks will be exhibited at a Gallery in Izmir. Exhibition with the copies will end the cost of shipment. Award winners will be selected during the exhibition with the online connection.
Online Exhibition : All submitted works of art will be displayed in an online exhibition.
Awards:
 First Place watercolor materials worth of 500$
Second place watercolor materials worth of 300$
Third place watercolor materials worth of 200$
 All selected artists will receive an international certificate and One Year Subscription to GlobArt website and personal gallery and one free NFT of their artwork that is listed for sale in OpenSea.

Sales:
The artists can give their consent for the sale of their original artworks. The artworks are sold with a general commission of 25% for NFT IWS GlobArt and the gallery. If the artwork is sold, the artist must send the original artwork to the buyer within a maximum of 30 days. Shipping costs are paid by the seller.
Participation fees:
After the selection of applicants artists must deposit the following fees with the given bank or cryptocurrency.
Members of NFT IWS GlobArt 40$
IWS members 65$
A foreign artist, applying on his own 75$
For national artist 250 Tl.
Calendar:
1 Oct 2022 Publication of the exhibition for participation.
31 Oct 2022 The deadline for submitting registration forms and photos by email.
16 Nov 2022 Publication of a list with selected artists.
10 Dec 2022 The deadline for submitting the participation fee.
20 Dec 2022 Publication of the final list of selected artists.
23 Jan 2023 Inauguration of the exhibition for selected artworks in the gallery and online voting for three winners.
