This is another chapter in our book of industries: We are supplying one of UK’s leading soft drinks manufacturers Britvic Soft Drinks with a heat recovery system at its existing site in London. Shifting away from fossil fuels and reusing low temperature waste heat, we help cut the factory’s by 1,200 tons annually – equivalent to the annual energy usage of around 500 UK homes.

Turning old "black gold" into new "warm gold".

GEA’s heat pumps are playing a huge role in Gateshead Mine Water Scheme, the largest mine water heat scheme of its kind in the UK.

This amazing project applies 2 x 3MW GEA ammonia to reuse and re-boost the waste heat from mine water (15°C / 59°F) and supply low carbon hot water (80°C / 176°F) to homes and buildings. The natural refrigerant ammonia has been chosen as the refrigerant for this application as it offers the best efficiency and has zero global warming potential.

GEA is digging deep to produce clean energy from mine water with heat pump solution GEA’s heat pumps are crucial to Gateshead Mine Water Scheme, the largest heat recovery scheme of its kind in the country, dedicated to tackling climate change by decarbonizing district heating.

Did you know that a powerful and sustainable fertilizer can be made from the same nitrogen that's already in the atmosphere? 🤔

Our plasma treatment technology does just that - it turns farm manure into nitrogen-enriched organic (NEO) fertilizers and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 30 percent. It enables farmers to reduce their ecological footprint and ensure food security. 🌱
