On 30 August 1922 during the Turkish War of Independence Greek enemy forces got defeated by Turkish forces under the command of Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK. This victory has come to be known in the Turkish history as the battle of the Commander-in-chief in Dumlupınar and gave start to the rebirth of the Turkish Nation.

We commemorate our Commander-in-chief Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and all heroes of our national freedom struggle with respect, longing and gratitude.
