Traveling with Pets-Import:
Pets (dogs and cats) can be imported to Trinidad and Tobago via cabin, checked baggage or cargo when travelling on an aircraft.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries has now removed the import condition on the import permit, which previously mandated that dogs and cats must only be imported into the country through the aircraft cargo.
Persons are reminded that you will still be required to apply for an import permit via the Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO). As such, all requests should be submitted at least a minimum of one and a half (1 ½) months in advance of any planned travel, in order to facilitate all required conditions

Importation of Used RHD Motor Vehicles Arriving After December 31, 2022
The Trade Licence Unit (TLU) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry wishes to advise members of the public particularly, all Registered Foreign Used Car Dealers, Individual Importers and other stakeholders of the following: 1. The expiry date of all Import Licences issued in 2022 shall be December 31, 2022; and 2. The TLU will not be revalidating Import Licences issued in 2022 to a date in 2023 for used right hand drive motor vehicles (sedans, station wagons and Sports Utility Vehicles) which arrive after December 31, 2022. The public is reminded that the permissible age for import of used right hand drive motor vehicles (sedans, station wagons and Sports Utility Vehicles) is: • three (3) years from the date of manufacture for vehicles outfitted with a gasoline, diesel, CNG or hybrid engine; and • two (2) years from the date of manufacture for vehicles outfitted with an electric motor powered by a rechargeable battery pack.
