The company recently signed a procurement and construction (P&C) contract with 360 Rail Services to further increase the delivery capacity by an additional 40%.

Jaime-Ann Babwah, Head Technical Services, presented at the Caribbean Sustainable Energy Conference on how PPGPL's Energy Policy has been the driving force to reducing methane emissions.

Our Energy Team has been focused on measuring, monitoring and managing every molecule of methane that enters our facility because we believe "Every Molecule Matters."

Thus far we have not only reduced our GHG emissions, but we have reduced our energy consumption by 9%.

For the 21st consecutive time, we've clinched the top spot in the Gas Processors Association’s (GPA) safety performance award in the prestigious International Division II category! Adding to our accolades, we proudly received the 2023 Perfect Record Award, marking another year with no lost time accidents. The Chairman, Dr. Joseph Khan, and President, Dominic Rampersad, personally accepted these honors during their visit to Dallas in May.

What elevates these achievements is the backdrop against which they were earned. Amidst our successful completion of a comprehensive facility-wide turnaround in 2023, lasting 19 days and involving a staggering 190,000 man-hours, we maintained our unwavering commitment to “safety is our number 1 priority”.

The GPA Midstream Safety Awards Program, designed to spotlight exemplary safety performance within the association's membership, further highlights our dedication to safety. Our distinction among U.S. and non-U.S. midstream operating companies underscores our global leadership in safety standards.

Moreover, the recognition extends beyond our core operations. PPGPL’s subsidiary, Phoenix Park Energy Marketing, secured the prestigious Pinnacle Safety Award from the Union Pacific Railroad for its exceptional safety record in 2022.

PPGPL Drives TTNGL’s Improved Performance
For the first quarter 2024, Trinidad and Tobago NGL Limited (TTNGL) had an impressive performance, surpassing the total 2023 annual result. This marks a significant improvement of TT$14.7 million or 108.9% over the comparative period in 2023. Earnings per share for the quarter represented a significant increase of 122.2%.

TTNGL’s remarkable performance is attributed to the enhanced profitability of its investment in Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL). PPGPL's success was driven by the company’s transformational initiatives coupled with increased NGL production, greater sales volumes and higher Mont Belvieu natural gas liquids (NGL) prices.

In looking ahead, Chairman Dr. Joseph Khan states, “PPGPL is committed to its strategic direction, with a strong emphasis on growth. It is focused on maintaining safe operations with high levels of plant reliability and availability, meeting customer needs, and retaining market presence across all territories that are key to developing long-term shareholder value.”

Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL) launched its first ESG report at its administrative office in Couva. Company president Dominic Rampersad presented the 2022 report to PPGPL's chairman, Dr. Joseph Khan.

On the occasion, Mr. Rampersad expressed PPGPL's commitment to transparency through its reporting on key areas of business, including environmental, social, and governance. March 21st is the global awareness day for the genetic condition Trisomy 21, also known as Down’s Syndrome.

In Trisomy 21, babies are born with an extra chromosome and have distinct facial features and distinct developmental progress. March 21st was chosen by the United Nations to raise awareness, educate, and share the uniqueness of the tripled chromosome, resulting in trisomy 21.

Today we at Phoenix Park join to advocate for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people living with Down’s syndrome worldwide!

The PPGPL ladies working at our sites and those working from home started IWD with words of inspiration from Dana Hayes-Burke, business coach and motivational speaker. This hybrid event was yet another way of us recognizing the significant contribution of our female staff to our business and to our world. ​

Dana engaged our women in an exercise of self-discovery. She anchored her remarks in the fact that we are more than our roles, and job titles, as she shared the concept that we are in part who we make ourselves. Her main message centred on women discovering the greatness within themselves, making space for that greatness, celebrating greatness in other women, thereby creating a powerful movement that inspires inclusion. ​
