Saw this post in a Carnival group and wanted to share the answers to help any others new to the Trinidad Carnival scene:

1. The outfits, is it different outfits the whole week? Meaning different bands or it’s only for Monday and Tuesday?
Trinidad carnival season begins right after Christmas and ends with the climax of the season with the road march of the bands on Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday which are the days just before Ash Wednesday. For 2025 this will be on Monday March 3rd & Tuesday March 4th, 2025. On Monday we wear Monday wear (decorated bikini or swimsuit) & Tuesday we wear costumes based on the theme of your chosen mas band. For the parties you wear whatever is comfortable dependent on the theme of the party and the type of event, cooler fete, brunch, etc.

2. What’s the difference in the frontline, midline,( what do you recommend has the best experience)
Difference in frontline, midline, backline is all based on the various elements of the costume. Frontline usually includes the largest backpack and more elaborate accessories for the costume. Frontliners usually also receive additional benefits like access to VIP areas during rest stops and access to carts on the road. The variety of costumes will all have access to premium drinks and food in an all-inclusive band so it really depends on how much money you are willing to spend and what is important to you to feel great and have a time on the road.

Lots of talk about the cost of Trinidad Carnival being exorbitant causing persons to look for other Caribbean Carnival options.

On one hand we understand that the rising costs of everything after Covid has lead to an increase in products and services.... but on the other hand there definitely needs to be careful management of prices because we want to see our clients back time and time again.
