We have watched you grow...
Oh, how we will miss you so!

Some of these not so little feet were once not able to stand when they came through our doors. We have watched you learn to crawl, try your first foods, speak your first words, and blossom from babies to children. We now can't stop you from running, chatting, and eating, and we are so thankful to have been given the pleasure of watching you all grow into the people you have become and will continue to become.

THANK YOU to your parents for trusting us with your head start in life. We know you will forever make us proud. We will adore each of you forever.

Our 1 -2 year olds are always kept busy with a wide range of activities to help them develop not only academically but holistically. Instilling independence, fun and learning throughout our days!

Baby love is real! Today, we were working on those gross motor skills, crawling, sitting, and practising our steps with the help of a car!

Our smallest members love to explore the outdoor spaces, taking in the rustling trees, floating clouds, and chirping birds, especially when the big kids are busy inside doing their work!

Simple blocks are so good for kids’ development. The act of building, knocking over, and balancing teaches them about basic physics concepts and helps kids develop their fine motor skills.

What are you doing during this flu season?

Edugarden have added air purifiers in each of our classrooms to help remove those harmful irritants and allergens that can cause your little one to feel sick, run-down, or stuffy and tired. We also added essential oils to ours that help clear nasal passages and eliminates harmful airborne bacteria.

Children are hard-wired to need nature and to play in their natural environments. Research shows that unstructured play that takes place outdoors is vital to children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

So.... We upgraded our playground!!

Threading is not only fabulous for developing essential fine motor skills but can also be used as a way to introduce young children to a variety of mathematical concepts such as colours, patterns, shapes and counting.

These are the skills that help us to make small muscle movements in our hands and fingers. Having good fine motor skills is what supports a child in their quest to draw, write, manipulate small objects, and complete everyday tasks such as doing up buttons and zippers.

It is also necessary to have good eye-hand coordination and strong concentration skills when threading. Another area of development, which is perhaps lesser well known but holds importance for children, is being patient and persevering to solve problems.

Watching them work it out, watching them create, watching them smile and feel accomplished.... the best parts of our days!

The sun is shining, the smiles and beaming and the laughter is loud after a week of love, laughter and learning!

Why do our preschoolers trace??

○ Tracing is a powerful way to practice fine motor control. 
● When we give our toddlers some straight or zig-zagged lines to trace, they will learn the beginning steps for writing letters.
○ Concentration and focus often go along with pre-writing skills.
● Through tracing, our toddlers will also learn how to create movements that they can use to draw pictures on their own.
