5 classes down, 5 more to go! Kids are going very well so far, they've figured out good ashi-sabaki and some kihon waza. We'll be working on polishing all of that in the coming weeks. Tried on bogu yesterday for fun, they have no fear!

Another great class yesterday with the kids from the 10 week program. They already have pretty good ashi sabaki & men-uchi, so it's a great start!

More exciting news, a 10 week beginners class started today in Port of Spain, a first in our 20 years in Trinidad! Kids look pretty tired here so it's a good sign 😁

A first this week for the Kendo Federation of Trinidad & Tobago. Gradings held in TWO separate locations in Trinidad; Tuesday in Port of Spain and Thursday in Pleasantville. Congrats to the students who successfully passed and their respective instructors!

It's been a while so we're excited to be back at Beetham Gardens. A "Kendo Fun Day" to kick things off! Classes officially starting next week, we can't wait!

Kendo Federation of Trinidad & Tobago The KFTT was founded in 2004 to encourage the development of Kendo across the country amongst adults and children.

A few weeks ago some members demonstrated Kendo at a Carnival Band launch - Yõkoso. We always try to support local and genuine initiatives to bring cultures together. Great job Kinetic Mas we look forward to your Carnival activities & display!

Here's the latest group of of beginners. For the next 2 months they will learn the basics of Kendo and hopefully succeed at demonstrating kihon (基本), kirikaeshi (切返し), jitsugi (実技) and bokken waza (木刀による剣道基本技稽古法) at their exam in two months. Good Luck!
