The top finishers of the TTIM held on March 24th were rewarded with their prize money at a Prize Presentation ceremony last evening. Partners, Subway Asha Sanmoogan asked that we all 'Live well, eat well, have a healthy lifestyle...'
Chair, Diane Henderson recognized the devoted members who have contributed over 30 years of hard work to the race's success.
Vincent Marshall of Blue Waters was also on hand to assist with the presentation prizes.
Sgt Alleyne received the Military Challenge Trophy from Curtis Cox for MILAT.
The 43rd race date was announced for Sunday 26th January, 2025.

Not all the information in the press about this year's Trinidad and Tobago International Marathon (TTIM) was 100% accurate. Here are a few details and some facts not covered in the press reports.
1. The winner was Alex Ekesa (Kenya). 2:31:28. His first TTIM.
2. First female was Palmenia Agudelo Berrio (Colombia). 2:58:23. Her third TTIM finish, but first as first female. Her best time was 2:56:23 in 2020.
3. Curtis Cox completed his 35th TTIM, his first was in 1986. His time of 2:57:30 was a 55-59 age group best for the race. Cox's best TTIM time was 2:21:30 in 2004; he won the race in 2005.
4. There were two other age group bests: Christine Regis female 60-64 3:59:10 and Nimchan Ramsaroop male 65-69 3:57:34.
5. Four other athletes who competed this year finished their first races in the 1980s. Michael Callender (1985); George Caruth (1985); Bharati Bagoo (1988) and Hollis Day (1989) - by Bruce Lauckner.

Our Story

2019 marks the 37th Edition of the TT International Marathon, the first and only 26.2 mile distance running event in Trinidad will be held on Sunday January 27, 2019. The early start 3:30 am was first initiated for the physically challenged and continues to be a traditional option for walkers and extremely slow runners. The Marathon is the pinnacle event of the weekend and one that calls for commitment, determination, and personal sacrifice. The new and innovative Marathon Relay is moved to Friday January 25 around the Queens Park Savannah as a Six-Leg Relay. Each team member covering 2.3 miles around the largest round about in the World. Schools, all female and the Open categories allow for all ages and gender involvement.

The 5K is held on the Saturday preceding the Marathon, on January 26, 2019. There is a continued need to have activities to promote physical movement and management of health.
