The school's steelband is being judged on Tuesday afternoon about 1 o'clock. Come over to Silver Stars Pan Yard on Tragarete Road and lend your support to this dedicated group of students. Tune of choice is Machel Montano's "Like Ah Boss" arranged by our own Mr. Kelvin Griffith.
Yedterday, I visited South East Port-of-Spain Secondary School Steel Orchestra as they were practicing for Panorama. Join me in saluting the teachers, Mr. Griffith and Mr. Martin who are preparing the band while they are both on vacation (Christmas). We must also commend the students that are dedicated to representing the school as they attend daily practice from 10am to 3pm.
I am encouraging you to drop in on a session and inspire the band members. The tune selected is 'Like Ah Boss' by Machel Montano.
The band is using the instruments and facilities of Silver Stars Steel Orchestra on Tragarete Road, next to Republic Bank.
Three classmates (Gordon George, Russell Holder and Carl Self) from graduating class of 1972 visited SEPOSS on November 2nd, to do a tour of the school. They hadn't been back to the school since new facilities were installed at the old market location. The same day they visited the school, the school had a fair where young entrepreneurs from the school were allowed to showcase and sell their products in the auditorium area. Gordon, Russell and Carl were able to sample and purchase some of the products while taking a few pictures with the students.i They also visited the home economics room, the computer room and were serenaded by the school's steelband.
During Assembly earlier today, several students who are participating in the Mentorship Program, were presented with gifts courtesy the SEAMS Committee.

An appeal is being made for all past students of South East Port-of-Spain (Government) Secondary School to become active members in the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association exists mainly to support the school in so far as it is capable. The Association is registered with the Ministry of Legal Affairs. The newest initiative is a Mentorship Program where 11 students are enrolled. If you believe that your life is better for having attended SEPOSSS, then here's an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of this illustrious institution.
