The prototype demo machine that will be displayed at Pinfest next week is only two player. Finished, production machines have an updated speaker panel with many more indicator lights installed and will all be four player games.

After all these years in Taiwan we finally have a new CNC machine set up in a second smaller building just around the corner from the main factory. This machine makes our last one look like a toy! The vacuum table is amazing, we didn't have that on the old machine.

We can now turn out new cabinets fast just like we used to do.

We are almost at the end of our learning curve and are just waiting for the first delivery of plywood.

WOW! Pinfest patrons are going to be blown away at these prices not seen for a new pinball in ten years or more! Wait until the Homepin accountant finds out what Mike has done with the pricing!

I love seeing new cabinets coming together! These will become Blues Brothers but all of our cabinets are pretty well the same build.

Several people have made comments about music in Blues Brothers pinball. We have just received confirmation of the music we have contracted to include with our Blues Brothers pinball machine. Being a budget pinball machine our music budget was rather constrained however, we have licenced three classic songs from the original soundtrack album and these will be included in every machine built.

Some metal parts were delivered yesterday so the Homepin staff are putting together a small run of sling and VUK mechanisms ready for use in the Blues Brothers pinball playfields.

Blues Brothers pinball is truly a collaboration across many countries. Homepin thanks every one of our valuable partners in this project as it would never have come to fruition without all of your valuable and talented input.

We have been asked about the Blues Brothers software many times. To clear things up, the machine will be supplied with software that our game testers are happy shows the machine in the best possible light and makes full use of a couple of features never before seen in pinball. Nothing needs to be done to enjoy Blues Brothers Pinball as it is supplied.

The software will be available on the Blues Brothers forum for owners to download and modify or completely re-write IF THEY WISH (it is Arduino based). This is NOT required however, it will be made available for those who like to play with software/rules/game play. They can then submit changed software to the site for others to use IF THEY WISH. Any software submitted will be carefully screened and tested before it is shared.

Another batch of power supplies for TAP pinball machines. This upgraded version supplies additional current to the 12 volt rail running the monitor. We have sent out upgrade kits for all machines already out there.

RANT

We need to order some special connectors for a replacement PCB we make. Parts are getting VERY hard to find for some of these older pinball boards! We ordered 10K of these to be specially made for us from a Chinese connector factory (min order) and I transferred the money directly to them from my Australian HOMEPIN bank account - I add, this is an account that has been valid and active for well over 10 years and the transfer went without a hitch.

The Chinese company is returning the money because the name on the money transfer doesn't match the order. To the Chinese, "Homepin" is not the same as "Homepin Taiwan Co Ltd".

Obtaining some parts is becoming a very difficult thing!

Blues Brothers Pinball (BBros) playfield plastics print and cut lines ready for the Graphic Artist to finalise the art and then off to the printers!

*NOTE* I have been asked by several people "how much to buy a XX cabinet?". Currently, we make cabinets for our own production machines only. Shipping even a flatpack cabinet of wood around the world simply is not cost effective. We may look at this in the future if an agent wants to buy a larger quantity and they can be shipped as a bulk lot but currently we are unable to sell single cabinets.

We have opened a new wood factory very close to the existing Homepin factory and are making our pinball cabinets in-house again! A new, full sheet size CNC machine has been ordered and should be delivered in the next couple of weeks. For the moment we are having the wood parts CNC cut outside and assembling them ourselves but this will all come back in-house within a couple of weeks allowing us much more control over production and quality.

We had a great time at the Amusement machine show in Taipei. At times it was quite busy with several people at the same time wanting to ask questions and also asking for advice about broken machines they had at home.
