'Galaxy' Best viewed full screen, I think it's quite fitting that this shot was made at Galaxy dive site in Raja Ampat. Here I'm using a fisheye lens at 8mm, which gives a 180 degree field of view, hence the rounding of the image. Typically such images show massive distortion, but the lack of straight lines in most underwater subjects make that less troublesome. So imagine this was 180 degrees in every direction, I was surrounding by this incredible scene. When using a large dome like this at such a wide angle it's critical to remove the shades (which would otherwise be visible in the shot) and get close (how many times is that said!!) The dome was pretty almost touching the fish!
