🌮 原本賣的一些菜色會不見喔！！要吃燉肉，牛排，烤時蔬，手工餅乾，韓式烤肉，薯泥，超級薯條，未來肉漢堡，粉紅鮮蝦義大利麵快點點！！賣完就沒囉～希望大家能體諒。
A good chunk of our current menu items will disappear! So if you want to order pot roast, steak, roasted veg, milk & cookies, Korean bbq, mashed potatoes, super fries, beyond burger, and shrimp pasta….better order before it’s gone!

🍔 先跟大家說明。食材還是在漲價所以新店菜單份量會有一些些的不一樣。全部菜色價格都有再重新算過做調整。Uber 跟內用也會不一樣。希望大家能體諒。
Our menu and portions will be slightly different at the new place due to the continuing inflation. Prices are still increasing for random things every week. Menu prices have been recalculated and adjusted. For those that order on Uber, prices and portions will also be different than dine in.

🍟 我們就是只有兩個人。有些東西會很快賣完。有些東西會做的比較慢。希望大家能體諒。
There’s only 2 workers! So some things will run out. Some things will be slower than usual.

🥓 搬家後有內用。但再次提醒大家是小吃攤位的概念目前沒有冷氣，是開放空間。跟原本的店面差異蠻大的。只有3個桌子，一桌也不能超過3-4位😂。但是！有可以站著吃的地方！只能跟大家說。。。不要期待跟之前一樣🥺。希望大家能體諒。
There will be dine in! But as another friendly reminder, please don’t expect it to be like our current store. The place is small and it’s currently an open space with no AC. There will only be 3 tables that can’t seat more than 3-4 ppl at once. But! There will be standing areas to eat (think night market or japan restaurants near the subway lines).

We thank everyone for their understanding as we make this transition. And we apologize if your favorite menu item disappears! We won’t have a full kitchen at the new place so there are a lot of things we can’t make.

我們要出來擺攤囉！不是新開店，是搬家。
空間是小吃店的大小。有幾桌可以內用。不會有冷氣🤣
We aren’t opening a new store… we are just moving to a smaller location. There will be minimal seating.. and no AC. 😬

為什麼呢？～ why?

三年前遇到大事就開始做了改變。
兩年前疫情還沒嚴重起來的時候就有一直試著請人。。。不知道為什麼都請不到（不是最低薪，工作不到8小時，有福利）。現在更不用想請人的事。。。但是我們兩個人而已。。。在一個可以坐到70+位的地方是怎麼做？
3 years ago we went through something big. 2 years ago before the Covid outbreak, we already tried to hire more workers but for some reason we couldn’t find any. Right now it’s even more impossible to find help….and with only 2 of us in a place that seats 70+ people, the odds are stacked against us.

希望大家能理解。。餐飲業現在很難做🤣但這是我們喜歡想要做的行業。也很高興有那麼多常客。
I hope everyone can understand our situation. Working in this industry is rough and tough right now. But we are grateful that you all enjoy the food❤️

我們不是不想，也不是因為疫情。
員工真的太難找了…找了很久很多地方…現在的2.5個員工真的沒辦法裡面外面外帶都跑… 希望大家能體諒😞
之後有什麼改變都會跟大家講！

MEET THE FAMILY

Jasmine Yen Jocson - GM/CHEF

Born and raised in Temple City, California to Taiwanese parents, Jasmine visited Taiwan once year from the age of 2. She is a UCI and Le Cordon Bleu alumni with a bachelor’s in East Asian Studies and a Culinary Degree. Jasmine started as a line/prep/catering cook for Patina Restaurant Group and later became a general manager for another company before moving to Tainan a year ago to pursue something of her own. FACTORY’s location and some of the interior design honors her late grandfather and his still growing mattress business. You can see her working in all areas at FACTORY, from the kitchen to the dining room. Don’t be a stranger and come say hello!

Christopher Jocson - CHEF

Raised in Fullerton California, Chris was influenced by the food industry from childhood. Weekends were spent helping his mother’s catering business by peeling vegetables, deboning fish or even just tasting. At the age of 5, he was often “babysat” in the kitchens where his two brothers were chefs throughout the 90s.

In 2005, Chris graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco with an Associates Degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. From there he trained for 10 years under Joachim Splichal’s Patina Restaurant Group working in their various restaurants, projects and catering events. The experiences he has ranges from being Executive Chef of Corporate Dining for Raytheon systems under the Compass Group and Sous Chef for upscale casual dining with James Beard nominated Fox Restaurant Concepts. Before moving to Tainan he was a part of the opening management team for Celebrity Chef Richard Blais’ The Crack Shack in California. “If you want to talk about things to eat, I can ramble for hours!”

Johnson Yen - BOSSMAN

Johnson was born and raised in Queens, New York and Temple City, California and did not move to Taiwan until 2010. He is a Pepperdine and CSULB alumni with a bachelor’s in Business Management and MBA in Entrepreneurship. Longing for the foods he grew up with, Johnson has made FACTORY a place where he can recreate those memories.
