👻 TCS萬聖節活動圓滿成功！TCS的師生們也一同共度充滿驚喜與萬聖節氛圍的一天！活動一開始，學生們便展現了他們的創意和熱情，穿上精心準備的服裝，為活動增添了不少色彩！下午，大家參與了多元的趣味活動，每個站點都充滿了團隊合作和活力。而當天的最大亮點無疑是驚險刺激的《勇敢者挑戰賽》，讓大家都屏氣凝神，激動萬分！

最後，我們公布了比賽的獲獎者，讚揚學生們在活動中的創意與熱情。衷心感謝所有學生、老師和教職員工，使這次萬聖節活動成為難忘的慶典。期待明年的萬聖節活動帶來更多驚喜！ 🎉

🎃 【Falloween Event Recap】
👻 Our TCS Falloween event was a spooktacular success! Students and staff joined together for a day brimming with excitement and Halloween spirit. The festivities kicked off with students showcasing their creative costumes, adding colour and character to the day.

In the afternoon, everyone took part in a rotation of fun-filled activities, displaying fantastic teamwork and energy at every station. The highlight of the day was the thrilling Fear Factor Competition, which had everyone on the edge of their seats!
We wrapped up with the announcement of contest winners, applauding students for their outstanding creativity and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to all the students, teachers, and staff who made this Halloween event an unforgettable celebration. We can’t wait to see what next year’s Falloween brings! 🎉

🏃‍♂️ 2024 Terry Fox Run x TCS: 800 Participants Running for Hope!
This year’s Terry Fox Run, held at the Luzhou Breeze Park, New Taipei City, was an inspiring event with around 800 participants from all over joining to run for hope. Together, we raised over 1.25 million NTD to support cancer research, spreading a message of love and courage. Volunteers, teachers, students, and runners came together to honour the unstoppable spirit of Terry Fox. TCS looks forward to next year’s run, united in the fight against cancer!

💖 This year’s 2024 Terry Fox Run kicked off with incredible passion, uniting 800 dedicated runners to carry forward Terry Fox's indomitable spirit of hope. Despite the blazing sun, TCS students, teachers, and parents joined forces as a powerful volunteer team, showcasing incredible unity to ensure a smooth and successful event.
Inspired by Terry Fox's resilience in the face of adversity, every runner brought enthusiasm and commitment to support cancer research, transforming the run into a force of hope. This memorable experience also provided students with an inspiring lesson that extended far beyond the classroom.

🌊 【TCS高中部環境科學課程：水質測試與冒險！】
作為環境科學課的一部分，我們的高三學生實際深入水中學習水質測試！他們與台北的水上衝浪團體「嘻嘻哈哈」合作，上午在士林附近乘風破浪，下午進行水質測試。這是一次難忘的動手學習體驗！😆

As part of their Environmental Science class, our G12 students dove into water quality testing—quite literally! Teaming up with Xixihaha, a surfing group in Taipei, they started their day catching waves near Shi-Lin and wrapped up the afternoon by testing the water's quality. It was an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience! 😆

TCS的週五體驗式課程，特別感謝我們的客座老師——米爸，讓學生們在這次的課程中學習生命教育與尊重所有生命，學生們在過程中思考如何成為負責任的主人，也透過討論深入思考了台灣的動保問題。

米爸也帶著自己可愛的毛孩子——小米，讓學生們有機會近距離觀察和學習照顧動物。讓我們一起將尊重生命繼續傳遞！

🐾 【 TCS Friday Experiential Learning：Life Education】
A special thank you to our guest teacher, Mr. Mi, for joining TCS Experiential Learning Friday to share his insights on life. During the session, students explored the importance of life education and the value of respecting all living beings. they learned what responsible pet ownership entails and engaged in meaningful discussions on animal protection issues in Taiwan.

Mr. Mi’s adorable furry companion, Xiaomi, has also joined us, providing students the opportunity to observe and practice animal care firsthand. Let’s continue to spread the spirit of respect for life!

【加拿大文化紀念活動：全國真相與和解日🧡】
＃加拿大與台灣原住民文化認識
TCS 邀請到來自東華大學原住民研究的羅教授，及排灣學者Sasa Saiviq來介紹關於加拿大與台灣的兩國原住民文化。學生們透過歷史了解兩境原住民的受到的迫害。唯有反思這些經歷的真相，才能共同走向治癒與和解的道路。讓我們繼續學習、傾聽，並支持追求正義與尊重原住民社群的努力，共同創造一個承認真相、實現和解的未來。

📣 ＃透過小組討論與桌遊認識歷史
我們的活動以一場有關加拿大寄宿學校歷史以及台灣原住民土地轉型正義主題的深入小組討論開始，增進了對文化的認識、尊重與共融。基於這些討論，學生們創意設計並玩與主題相關的桌遊，透過動手學習的方式促進合作與參與。

【Cultural Remembrance Activity: Truth and Reconciliation Day🧡】

TCS invited 2 speakers to share insights on the indigenous cultures of Canada and Taiwan. Dr. Lo is a professor at Tunghua University specializing in Indigenous studies, and Ms. Sasa Saiviq is a dedicated Paiwan researcher. Both have committed their work to advancing understanding in this important field.
Our students learned about the histories and challenges faced by Indigenous peoples, reflecting on the injustices they have endured. By acknowledging these truths, we can collectively strive toward healing and reconciliation.
Let’s continue to learn, listen, and support efforts to seek justice and respect for Indigenous communities, building a future that recognizes truth and fosters reconciliation.

Our event concluded with a meaningful group discussion on the history of Canadian residential schools and Taiwan’s transitional justice. This dialogue enriched students’ understanding of cultural respect and inclusion.
Inspired by these discussions, students creatively designed and played board games centered on these themes, fostering teamwork and engagement through hands-on learning.

🚣‍♀️【TCS 週五體驗式課程：龍舟競賽】
TCS中學生們齊聚碧潭水岸，參加了一場充滿刺激的龍舟競賽！在世界龍舟聯盟優秀教練們的指導下，他們學習了龍舟文化，還切身體會到團隊合作與紀律的重要性。
經過熱身和龍舟運動解說後，學生們被分成五組，練習划船技巧並學習安全知識。

🥇當天最精彩的部分莫過於200米的龍舟競賽！ 各隊激烈競爭，展現了無與倫比的團隊精神與合作默契，活動最後在美麗的碧潭遊覽中劃下圓滿句點！

🚣‍♀️ 【 TCS Friday Experiential Learning：Dragon Boat Racing Experience】
TCS middle school students came together at Bitan Riverside for an exciting day of Dragon Boat Racing! Guided by a group of amazing coaches from The World Dragon Boat Federation, they learned about dragon boat culture, teamwork, and discipline.
After warm-ups and an intro session, students formed 5 teams, practising rowing techniques and safety.

🥇 Highlight of the day? The 200-metre dragon boat race! Teams raced fiercely, showing incredible teamwork and spirit. The event wrapped up with a scenic Bitan tour!
