Very shocked and sad to hear the tragic news about Dom Phillips.
A brilliant journalist, I have known Dom for nearly 30 years. From his Mixmag days when I was running Mo' Wax to working with him on all of my Global Underground DJ mixes, where I have particularly fond memories of being away together in Barcelona and Bucarest; two particularly brilliant and wild adventures! I was also interviewed for his book 'Superstar DJs Here We Go!'. He was one of the great journalists of DJ and dance culture in its heyday. The last time we spoke he had moved to Brazil and was excited to be pursuing new directions in Journalism, writing about the Amazon and human rights; a great passion of his.
My deepest condolences to his family in this difficult time. RIP
