International Advanced Technology Program is a full English program launched by College of Engineering of Taiwan Tech. Welcome to join us!
Let’s give a round of applause to our 2023 Fall semester scholarship winners!!!
With their diligence and excellent academic performance, they have made it to the top 20% of students in class. Students can receive scholarships ranging from 20,000 NTD to 60,000 NTD (617 USD to 1850 USD). Recipients can use their IATP Scholarship to help offset the cost of tuition, books/supplies, and living expenses. We also held a celebration for the winners during lunch break with the professors of IATP.
Congratulations Class of 2024!!! You have made it!!! We are so proud of you!!!
During IATP’s Graduation Ceremony, the Dean of College of Engineering, the Director of IATP, and our three professors had all given an inspiring speech to the graduates. Moreover, the most important part of the ceremony was the turning of the tassel, which signifies a person’s transition from a student to a graduate. While watching the collected photos of these four memorable years, the graduates had recalled all the good old times they had in IATP.
As we know, “Graduation Ceremony” is also called a “Commencement,” which symbolizes the start of a new chapter in life. After graduating from IATP, we hope all our graduates can pursue their dreams and achieve their goals in the near future. Good luck and keep in touch!!!

On December 18, 2021, IATP students headed off to Taoyuan Youth Adventure Camps for field trip. In the Camps, students can experience different facilities that are several meters off the ground. For students who are afraid of height, this is an opportunity for them to step out of their comfort zone and overcome their inner fear. Also, through challenges, students are able to build trust with each other and understand the importance of team work.
[The College of Engineering, Taiwan Tech has been selected as a Key Cultivation College for the BEST program of the MOE, Taiwan]
Facing the waves of globalization, English is currently the most significant language used in international communication. In order to transform Taiwan into a bilingual country by 2030, the Ministry of Education is focusing on strengthening students’ English proficiency in the higher education and promoting a project called “The Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College” (BEST). The College of Engineering, School of Management and College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Taiwan Tech have been selected as the Key Cultivation Colleges for the BEST program of the MOE in September, 2021.
[It is a good news for students under International Advanced Technology Program (IATP)! Why? ]
The colleges have to not only nurture talents with competitiveness within the global employment market in the future, but also allow the students to gain a better global vision, to be able to understand different cultures in the international environment, and to be capable of communicating and interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds. In this regard, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) serves as an effective tool for achieving such objectives! More and more courses under College of Engineering and Taiwan Tech will become EMI courses. As a program under College of Engineering, IATP students will have more options when selecting courses. Professional training will also be provided to the professors to develop their understanding of how to teach effectively in English. The campus environment of Taiwan Tech will be more and more friendly to international students!
