看似簡單的洗布工作，背後卻蘊含著許多層面的意義。
通過浸濕、擰乾、刷洗布料，孩子們不僅學會了自我照顧的技能，還能鍛煉手部力量與手眼協調，同時促進精細動作的發展。一個接著一個有邏輯的工作步驟，培養出孩子內在的秩序感，幫助孩子建立責任感與獨立性，同時也培養了他們的耐心與專注力。透過反覆的動作，孩子們逐漸掌握了生活中的基本技能，提升了自信心，並享受獨立完成任務的成就感。

What may appear to be a simple task of washing cloth actually encompasses multiple layers of significance. Through the processes of soaking, wringing, and scrubbing the fabric, children not only acquire self-care skills but also strengthen their hand muscles and improve hand-eye coordination, thereby fostering the development of fine motor skills. The logical sequence of steps cultivates an internal sense of order in the child, helping them build a sense of responsibility and independence, while also nurturing patience and concentration. Through repeated actions, children gradually master fundamental life skills, enhancing their self-confidence and gaining a sense of accomplishment from completing tasks independently.

This year's opening ceremony was especially unique.

On the first day of school, the teachers cooked the "Prosperity and Vitality Porridge" using six ingredients that symbolize the "Six Blessings."

With red beans, red dates, lotus seeds, longan, and barley, the porridge is filled with wholesome ingredients, carrying the heartfelt wishes and blessings from both parents and teachers!

We hope everyone will be full of energy, immune to negativity, and adapt quickly to the new semester!

l Ms. Lam School- 插花中的奇妙世界：蒙特梭利教室裡的花語與文化探索 l

在教室中的插花活動，我們鼓勵孩子們分享他們帶來的各種花卉。除了介紹花的名稱之外，我們也會融入花語和相關故事，讓孩子們了解不同花卉背後的文化意涵。同時，我們還會教導花的各個部位名稱，並觀察各式各樣形狀的葉片。這樣的蒙特梭利教室活動，不僅局限於插花本身，還能延伸至語言學習和文化探索，讓孩子在多元化的學習中成長。

In the Montessori classroom, during the flower arranging activity, we encourage children to share the various flowers they bring. Beyond introducing the names of the flowers, we also incorporate the language of flowers and related stories to help children understand the cultural significance behind each flower. Additionally, we teach the names of the different parts of the flowers and observe the diverse shapes of the leaves. This Montessori classroom activity extends beyond just flower arranging; it also encompasses language learning and cultural exploration, fostering the children's growth in a rich and diverse learning environment.

炎炎夏日，當然一定要玩玩水、消消暑！

孩子泡在清涼的水池裡、迎著噴泉，
尖叫聲、大笑聲此起彼落～
和同學們一同玩樂、嬉戲，小水池成了他們暑期歡樂的記憶點。

最後，讓孩子眼睛為之一亮的是送上來的棒棒冰，在冰涼微甜的口感中結束今天的活動！

夏日戲水真是太開心了😋

On hot summer days, water play is essential for staying cool!

The children enjoy the refreshing pool, splashing in the fountains, their joyful shouts and laughter echoing in the air. Playing and bonding with classmates, the little pool becomes a cherished spot of happiness in their summer memories.

At the end of the day, what delighted the children the most were the popsicles handed out to them. The cold and mildly sweet treats provided a perfect conclusion to the day’s activities.

Summer water play was an absolute delight!

三月七日是已故的Gabriel García Márquez的生日。他雖然在成年後榮獲諾貝爾文學獎，但在童年時期卻曾經為學習閱讀而苦惱。直到他家鄉開了一所不同類型的學校，使用不同的閱讀方法，即自然拼讀法。

年幼的Gabriel開始學習發音（而不是死記硬背字母的名字），他很快就被書本迷住了，找到了“以非常強烈的方式吸引我”的書籍。而這段經歷，以及其他經歷，塑造了他的一生。正如García Márquez所說：“我所有的書裡沒有一句話不是源自我的童年。在我生命的前八年，我經歷了後來構成我詩意和文學創作的經歷……我會說，我所有的作品都源自童年的早期歲月。”

那麼，在García Márquez生命中如此具形成作用的時期，他就讀的是什麼樣的學校，使他覺得“學習就像玩耍”呢？答案是蒙特梭利。

在他晚年，García Márquez也是蒙特梭利教育方法的聲援者：“我不相信有比蒙特梭利更好的方法來使孩子對世界的美敏感，並喚起他們對生命秘密的好奇心。”

Today is the birthday of the late Gabriel García Márquez who, although winning the Nobel Prize in literature as an adult, struggled to read as a child.

That is, until a different kind of school opened in his hometown that used a different kind of method for reading, i.e. phonics.

The young Gabriel began learning to sound out letters (vs rote memorization of their names) and he quickly became enamored with books, finding one that "absorbed me in a very intense way."

And this experience, among others, shaped the rest of his life. As García Márquez puts it: "There is not a line in one of my books that does not have its origin in my childhood. During the first eight years of my life, I lived the experiences that later made up my poetic and literary creations. ... I would say that all my work has its origins in the early years of childhood."

So what was the schooling that García Márquez attended during such a formative time in his life, in which he says "studying was like playing"?

Montessori.

And later in life, García Márquez was a vocal supporter of the Montessori approach: "I do not believe there is a method better than Montessori for making children sensitive to the beauties of the world and awakening their curiosity regarding the secrets of life."

在這個快速變遷的世界中，動物的棲息地正面臨著前所未有的挑戰。北極熊的棲息地因氣候變化而逐漸減少，牠們的生存岌岌可危。同時，火山爆發等自然災害也對生態系統造成影響。

這週的暑期班主題活動，除了火山爆發的科學實驗，老師們也和孩子們講述了關於動物的棲息地，除了大型裝置藝術，孩子們也製作了小小北極地，小朋友們也化身小小探險家，解救冰層裡的動物！

透過環保行動，我們能夠減少對地球的破壞，保護動物的家園。每一個小小的努力，無論是減少塑料使用、支持可再生能源，還是參與植樹活動，都能為地球的未來增添一分希望。

In our rapidly changing world, animal habitats face unprecedented challenges. The habitat of polar bears is gradually diminishing due to climate change, jeopardizing their survival. Additionally, natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions significantly impact ecosystems.

During this week’s summer camp activities, in addition to scientific experiments on volcanic eruptions, teachers discussed animal habitats with the children. Alongside large art installations, the children created miniature Arctic environments and became little explorers, rescuing animals trapped in ice.

Through environmental actions, we can mitigate damage to our planet and safeguard animal homes. Every small effort, whether reducing plastic usage, supporting renewable energy, or participating in tree planting, adds hope for the future of our Earth.

The semester has ended, and summer vacation has begun. The younger siblings at miCasa are gradually moving up to the next class.

Their older brothers and sisters, who are already familiar with the preschool, are excitedly helping their younger siblings get accustomed to the new environment. The interactions between them in the classroom are particularly heartwarming.

Adapting to a new environment takes time, but with the care and companionship of their older siblings, the younger ones are becoming more comfortable and at ease.

自從1月迎來了兩隻可愛的小黃鴨——西瓜和橘子，老師和孩子們一起悉心照料牠們的生活起居，傾注了無數的愛與關懷。如今，我們帶來了一個令人興奮的消息：母鴨西瓜終於下蛋了！🥚

孕育生命從來都不是一件容易的事。養鴨子需要定時餵食、保持環境整潔、每天游泳、清理排泄物等，最重要的是要好好愛牠們。我們將生命教育融入孩子們的日常生活，讓他們學會愛護和尊重每一個小生命。
當孩子們得知西瓜下蛋時，他們都無比激動。有孩子甚至回家後特別畫了一幅畫，來表達他的喜悅與興奮！

我們與孩子一同在生活中學習，在愛中成長，與大家一起分享這份喜悅與感動！

🌟 Exciting News from Tianmu Branch! Our Call Duck, Watermelon, Has Laid an Egg! 🌟

Since January, we welcomed two adorable little yellow ducks, Watermelon and Orange. Together with the children, our teachers have been meticulously caring for them, showering them with endless love and attention. Today, we are thrilled to share that our mother duck, Watermelon, has finally laid an egg! 🥚
Nurturing life is never an easy task. Raising ducks requires regular feeding, keeping their environment clean, daily swimming, and cleaning up after them. Most importantly, it requires loving them dearly. We integrate life education into the daily lives of our children, teaching them to cherish and respect every small life.
When the children heard that Watermelon laid an egg, they were overjoyed. Some children even went home and drew pictures to express their happiness and excitement!
Together with the children, we learn from life and grow in love, sharing this joy and emotion with everyone!

Graduation Blessings from Ms. Lam's School

The graduation ceremonies for the four campuses concluded successfully over the weekend. This year's themes were particularly interesting:

Tianmu Branch: “Abundance”presented each performance like a delightful dish.

Songjiang Branch: “Time X Dreams” showcased children's dreams in the gentle flow of time.

Xinsheng Branch: “I Have My Own Young” displayed the uniqueness of each child.

Xinyi Branch: “Happiness! Set Off” sent children off into the future with five mysterious gifts.

Highlights included:
- Enthralling African drums 🪘
- Expressive tap dance 👣
- Inspiring taiko drumming 🥁
- Melodious glockenspiel 🎶

Amid countless blessings, the graduates are about to embark on the next stage of their lives.

During their three years in the Montessori classroom, each child has developed problem-solving skills. We believe they will all bravely face any challenges ahead. 💪🏻

I Ms. Lam School- 從自己到群體；從獨立到貢獻 I

教室中工作的鈕扣掉了，我自己縫；教室的植物，我自己照顧；衛生紙沒了，我自己補充…..
在蒙特梭利教室中，孩子希望學會更多事，做出貢獻，成為家庭、教室和社會的一分子。在獨立的過程中，孩子學會了如何負責照顧自己、他人和環境，當他們自己穿上鞋子、把東西放回原處，或是幫助朋友時，臉上就會顯露滿足的表情。

When a button falls off in the classroom, I sew it back on myself; when the classroom plants need care, I take care of them myself; when the toilet paper runs out, I replenish it myself...

In a Montessori classroom, children hope to learn more, contribute, and become a part of the family, classroom, and society. Through the process of becoming independent, children learn how to take care of themselves, others, and their environment. When they put on their shoes, return things to their places, or help a friend, a look of satisfaction appears on their faces.

I Ms. Lam School- 教室小故事：蒙特梭利孩子創意的起源 I

在五月的母親節活動時，教室裡有許多愛心的裝飾，我們唱的歌曲和律動中也有許多代表愛心的動作，某一天看到男孩專心地做著黏土，走近一看，原來他捏了很多的愛心，看著他一邊做一邊微笑的樣子，忍不住問他~
老師：「哇！你用黏土做了這麼多愛心啊！」
男孩：「對呀！我要送給媽媽！」
男孩看到教室裡愛心的圖飾，結合愛心的動作，讓他自己做出了許多的愛心，把對媽媽的愛加在裡面！
黏土是教室裡一項孩子很喜歡的工作，我們會教孩子一些基本動作，例如搓長條、搓圓、壓扁…，但不會特別示範具體的形象，孩子們會從日常生活中用感官來探索和經驗，了解真實的世界後，自然地呈現在自己的創作中，這就是蒙特梭利孩子的創意起源。

During the Mother's Day activities in May, the classroom was filled with heart-shaped decorations. Our songs and movements also included many heart-shaped gestures. One day, I saw a boy intently working with clay. When I got closer, I realized he was making many hearts. Seeing him smile while he worked, I couldn't help but ask him:

Teacher: "Wow! You made so many hearts with clay!"
Boy: "Yes! I want to give them to my mom!"

The boy saw the heart decorations in the classroom and combined them with the heart gestures, inspiring him to create many hearts and put his love for his mom into them.

Clay work is a favorite activity among the children in our classroom. We teach them basic techniques, such as rolling long strips, making balls, and flattening the clay, but we don't demonstrate specific shapes. The children use their senses to explore and experience daily life, and after understanding the real world, they naturally express it in their creations. This is the origin of creativity in Montessori children.
