Taipei Adventist American School
Taipei Adventist American School is accredited by the North American branch of the Seventh-day Adven At that time it was only a
two classroom school.
Taipei Adventist American School had its beginning in the 1950s as a small elementary school for overseas
missionaries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Many of the missionaries worked at the SDA hospital in
Taipei. In fact, school was held for many years at a location in the hospital. In 1986 a new school building
was built on the mountain compound where some of the missionary families lived.

2023-2024 TAAS Walkathon! 🏃🏃🏻♀️
Grade 3 Field trip to XPark!!!!
Today TAAS students get involved in a project impact activity not only to help others but also to learn how to work together. Different grades went to the different places for the project impact.
Here are some highlights from Grade 1 & Grade 8 students…
Hope you all have a nice weekend!
"Some highlights from G4-G5 and G6-G7 Camp Taiwan (Oct 12-13, Oct 16-20)"
Camp Taiwan is a time for students to truly experience outdoor activities and build teamwork at the same time. This is truly a time when students can work together and grow closer together. They do this through teamwork games and group activities to accomplish their goals. They also experienced rock climbing, river tracing, and archery as well.
This year’s Fall Week of Prayer, October 23–October 27, it is our honor to have Pastor Gerald Christo in TAAS to share the gospel with the students. The Bible stories and God’s word the pastor shared inspired the students. Thank you, Pastor Gerald Christo, for giving us your precious time to be here with us, and we hope to see you again soon.
This year, TAAS Grade 8 students went to Kaohsiung, Maolin District, for the mission trip. The mission trip is an opportunity for 8th-grade students to provide support to the local communities and to connect with people from different places. During the first five days of the mission trip, not only did the students donate the supplies that the local people needed, but they also packed the supplies they donated and helped out with the painting for the houses in need. The last 3 days of the mission trip took them to Kenting where they visited the “National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium”, went to the Kenting night market, and played water activities. We believe that the students had so much fun and had invaluable experiences on this trip.
We hope everyone had a great time last Sunday at the TAAS BBQ event with family and friends.
The annual TAAS BBQ event is the perfect time to interact with friends, teachers, and parents, and building relationships while relaxing over some food.
We hope to see you all again next year! Happy Moon Festival!
On September 9, TAAS held the game night activity to allow the students to have fun and make memories with their friends. We appreciate all the parents and students who participated in this activity. Also, TAAS appreciates all the teachers and staff members who helped out with this activity.

WHY TAAS?
TAAS is located in the beautiful and exclusive neighborhoods of Yang Ming Shan. Our campus is surround by trees and quiet roads, in fact even our campus itself is full of trees and gardens and outdoor play area for our students. Many parents have told us that they had heard from others that we are known as a school in the trees (森林小學).
TAAS specializes in an individualized holistic American-style instruction in a way not possible in a larger school setting. Not only is learning benefited, but social development is also enhanced in a smaller, family-type setting. Children in small school situations become more independent and do better academically because of a lower student/teacher ratio.
Because of the western-style education, students are encouraged to take responsibilities for their own learning apart from the pressures of the teacher or other authorities. Students learn how to act independently, act cooperatively, and love learning.
We are part of the largest Protestant educational system in the world, and our faculty and staff continue the system-wide educational tradition of encouraging and nurturing children to develop and perform at their highest potential. Christian morals and values are another integral part of our education system. Integrity, honesty, respect for others, and responsibility are cultivated. We believe that all people have the ability to grow in character. Our system is developed to produce highly intelligent children with traits such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
