Minimum calories - maximum benefit: why cashews should be in the diet
Cashews are small, sweet nuts native to Brazil. The composition of the nut is so rich that it is able to have a beneficial effect on all systems of the human body. Cashews contain all three omega fatty acids - omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9. They, together with antioxidants, protect the body from free radical damage, stop inflammation, slow down aging, nourish the skin and protect it from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. The walnut is also rich in copper, which helps to improve the quality of the skin and gives it a natural glow.
One small serving of cashews contains 70% of the daily value of magnesium, which we need for the proper functioning of the heart, nervous and musculoskeletal systems. A magnesium deficiency in the body can cause chronic fatigue, lethargy, high blood pressure and even muscle cramps.
Regular consumption of cashew nuts significantly reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease (and they continue to be the number one cause of death worldwide). Fatty acids and minerals that the nut contains strengthen the heart muscle and vascular walls and prevent the formation of cholesterol plaques.
