The engineering teams of Fishka & N-iX have turned the donation process into an interactive game with the launch of the "FISHKOGRAI" charity. 🚀

Launched by FISHKA, a loyalty program initiated by the leading fuel retailer OKKO, and developed in partnership with N-iX, this innovative charity project aims to raise UAH 30 million for the UNBROKEN Ukraine rehabilitation center.

🤝 Users can visit the dedicated “FISHKOGRAI” page within the Fishka mobile application, shake their phones, and enjoy an authentic melody by Ukrainian composer Vasyl Ivasyuk. Every game session earns donations for the Unbroken rehabilitation center.

💪 In just 8 weeks, UAH 15 million have already been collected!

In collaboration with Underground Stand Up, we organized a heartfelt charity stream aimed at raising 10,000,000 hryvnias to purchase radios for the Air Defense Forces. The "IT is FINE" event on YouTube drew over 110,000 viewers, and within just 5 hours, we successfully raised 5 million hryvnias for the Повернись живим fund. Thanks to over 6 million earned media impressions, we doubled the collected amount in just two weeks of the remaining fundraiser. 🌟

Our efforts have landed us as finalists in three categories at Effie Awards Ukraine 2023:

N-iX Runners for a Cause in 10th Frankivsk Half Marathon 2023🏃‍♂️👟

Yesterday, our dedicated runners from N-iX Ivano-Frankivsk laced up their shoes and took to the streets for the Karavanets Charity Run by Frankivsk Half Marathon. Over 1,200 participants from all corners of the globe joined in this race.

The Frankivsk Half Marathon team organized the Karavanets Charity Run covering 2.1 km in honor of Sergiy Karavanets. The purpose is clear: support the UAF and continue Sergiy's legacy, because "He was the one who started the running movement in Ivano-Frankivsk."
It was a heartfelt moment for our team to realize that we were running not just for a cause but for one that is close to our hearts at N-iX. Sergiy Karavanets, founder of FHM, is an alumnus of N-iX.
Sergio Karavanets, while serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, went missing in the Luhansk region on May 9th, 2022.

Let's continue to run, remember, and raise awareness for the causes that matter.

Every week Факультет прикладних наук УКУ / APPS UCU organizes meetings with intriguing figures from the industry providing a unique insight into the vast world of tech. It was our honor at N-iX to be part of such a gathering last week.🌐

We were not only thrilled to share knowledge but also to witness the brilliance of students at the event. Our very own Oleh Shyshkin, an alumnus from the "Data Science" Master's program and now the Lead Big Data Engineer at N-iX, hosted an enlightening workshop.💡

Wondering what the buzz was about?
✅ Oleh dived into the real-world applications and significance of Machine Learning (ML). He highlighted how ML empowers Natural Language Processing (NLP) to comprehend human language in its essence. Our session didn't end there. Students were treated to hands-on exercises and interactive demos showcasing computer vision tools, enhancing the analysis and interpretation of visual information.

To further our commitment to fostering talent, N-iX is proud to grant scholarship certificates to deserving students from the faculty. This year, we’ve provided 2 scholarships as a testament to our belief in nurturing future tech leaders.🎓

📸 Flashback to a Fantastic Java Month at N-iX! 🌟

Last Friday marked the culmination of our Java Month series at N-iX, spanning from September 14th to 29th. Throughout this period, we delved deep into the Java 21 update with daily quizzes and three major events. From the N-iX Java Day in Krakow, Poland, to an engaging online meetup, and wrapping up with an offline event in Lviv - it's been quite the journey!

Our discussions centered around the latest features in Project Loom & Amber and the intricacies of GraalVM & TornadoVM. Knowledge sharing was at its peak, and it was inspiring to see the community come together, both virtually and in-person.

A shoutout to the quiz and Kahoot champions - we celebrated your achievements and were thrilled to present awards to the deserving winners. 🏆

🎉 After successfully concluding the tenth iteration of IT Arena, we are thrilled with the overwhelming attendance of 3,364 tech enthusiasts! This year, Lviv was the center of attention for conversations on innovation, cybersecurity, defense technology, and more.

🤝 Despite global challenges, IT Arena showcased Ukrainian strength and resilience. It offered a platform to connect with colleagues, form alliances, and gain insights from global experts. The underlying theme emphasized Ukrainian resilience and international support. ❤️ Over 500 visitors participated in our charity giveaway resulting in a significant donation to the "Come Back Alive" fund for operational activities. Thank you for your generosity!

🗣️ During the event, we had the pleasure of hearing from Elina Lesyk, who works at AWS Enterprise. Her presentation shed light on the importance of ensuring clear functionality in LLMs, emphasizing the need for generating polite, secure, and inclusive responses. Additionally, Христя Шаховська, a Data Science Engineer at N-iX, shared an innovative model training algorithm that stood out for its efficiency and resource-saving properties. 💫.

🌍 At the "Skills and Jobs for the Future in Ukraine" meetup, we reached a consensus on the crucial role of education and ed tech in shaping the future. It's important to note that the digital revolution is not limited to Ukraine alone, but is a worldwide phenomenon. The discussion on the significance and relevance of traditional educational paths versus entrepreneurship was particularly thought-provoking and insightful.
