With support from All We Can, 31 teenage mothers graduate after a six months training course in tailoring and hairdressing.
These were also given start-up kits in form of sawing machines and saloon equipments to help them start their own businesses

COFCAWE trains the Kaluuba teenage mothers club in financial literacy and VSLA from 15th to 18th of February after equipping them with vocational skills for six months

COFCAWE interacts with Children of the formed behavior change clubs after the re-opening of schools to establish the effects of COVID-19.
Common effects pointed out by the children included:
Teenage pregnancies and early marriages. COFCAWE plans to strengthen these clubs through more sensitization on dangers of early s*x and teenage pregnancy.

And thereafter distributed Sanitary pads to girls and Vaseline to both boys and girls

The lock down has exposed many teenagers to life challenges like early pregnancies, child labor, early marriages, among others.
This has been worse in Busoga sub-region as per the reports
Thats why COFCAWE in partnership with FABIO with support from AWC has been in Mayuge, Kamuli and Jinja Districts sensitizing Guardians and teenagers on how to go about some of these challenges and even giving pads to girls and masks and Vaseline to both so as to curb the tragedies
