WE’RE ‘MOVING’!!!!! We are expanding our reach to open more Literacy and Leadership Centers by joining forces with Families Mentoring Families. Watch for upcoming announcements of how to keep following our journey. Thank you to everyone who has supported us this far through financial contributions, encouraging words and prayers. We continue to need all three. Please follow the link below to follow us!! There are some exciting things happening that we don’t want you to miss!!
This wonderful youth club has been so supportive of our programs. They recently participated at a Lavender Festival selling products they have been working on. A group of talented, compassionate young entrepreneurs who give of their time and talents to help kids that they’ve never met! If you have kids in the Cache Valley area in Utah you may want to consider signing them up for this club!!
THIS…..is not us!! This is an example of what happens often in Africa. Others copy and take information from your website and create an organization! This has become a ‘career’ choice for some. BEWARE OF MISREPRESENTATION.

It’s been a busy summer so far as we have been preparing to launch new Leadership Education centers! We look forward to getting much needed supplies and books to our different centers and are very excited for September as we team with FamiliesMentoringFamilies to begin Leadership Education in Africa!!
Another Literacy Center! You won't find many kids as excited as these kiddos to have books to read. 📚📚📖. We are grateful for our Ugandan friends who work to bring a Literacy Center into their area and are willing to teach kids and adults to READ. Thank you for all that support our work as we continue to spread Literacy Centers throughout Africa.
We want to make our followers aware of a false account that has been created copying pictures and videos of the work we have done in Uganda. It’s so easy to claim to be someone else and there are many people who have now made this their ‘profession’ - creating organizations using content from other pages. New emails have been created while still posting our website information. Please beware of misrepresentation and we apologize for the confusion
Leadership Education has been our focus for the past few years. What does that mean? It begins with learning 'how to think', rather than 'what to think'. Uganda's education system is 100% copy work and rote memorization. How does this impact a country? Like most nations today - we are in a leadership crisis as we see nations, communities and families struggling to deal with challenges and think of ways to overcome them. If you have always been taught to simply copy down information and then replay it out on a test - words that have no contextual meaning or importance in daily life - that results in a population that lacks confidence and resorts to following any authority figure without question. We educate young leaders who see a need in their community and have the courage to make a difference. Who know 'how to think' and aren't afraid to live outside of the 'box'. We will soon be expanding our leadership centers throughout Africa and are excited to share our journey with you.......thanks to everyone who has supported us this far. We are so excited for the places we are going in 2023!! 🙏. 😍
Big things are on the horizon! I’m so excited to be in Uganda with this lady - Becky Richards Rogers from Families Mentoring Families - as we begin this new partnership!! For several years we’ve spoken and shared our visions and finally we have met in Uganda! 🙏🏾
What does it mean 'The Wealth of a Nation is in its People'? It means that we - the people - are the ones that make up a nation; the stronger the people and the families, the stronger the nation. It's not gold or silver that strengthen a nation - it's those who discover their gifts and talents, who have done the hard work to develop and master them and then share their 'wealth' to make their families, their community, this world a little better. This is the mission of Enhance Humanity Uganda. No matter where you live, no matter who you are or your circumstances - there is a reason you are here and whatever you 'see' wrong with the world, make it your mission to do something to make it better. Together we can make this world better 🥰
A huge THANK YOU to Kim Patrick for traveling across the world with an extra 6 suitcases full of supplies for our literacy training program. We are looking forward to not only our 2023 Literacy Program, but our Leadership Education program which promises to train youth to be prepared to live a life of mission and purpose, not only improving their own lives, but their community at large. We look forward to sharing what 2023 brings........🤩🤩
MERRY CHRISTMAS! From all our kids - we hope this holiday season will bring joy and happiness to all who have loved and supported us through 2022. Thank you for your prayers, thank you for your donations, thank you for your kind words and thank you for making a difference in these kids' lives. We are sincerely grateful and together we can ensure these youth have a bright future full of hope. We believe the youth in our program are the 'wealth of this nation' 🙌
The lady, Savannah Holmes, is in Uganda!! 🤗 She is finally meeting the kids she was running for in the summer of 2021! She set out to run 500kms barefoot to raise money to keep our program running at Enhance Humanity Uganda. It ended up being a summer with record breaking high temperatures, yet she persevered and was able to raise enough money to ensure these kids still had a program to come to each day. What a great week getting to know one another and celebrating friendship and barefeet together!!!! 🙌

Sometimes we are inside learning but some of our most important moments are when we are joined together in team building, simulation exercises and group discussions, asking questions and solving problems. This is what leadership education is all about - no lectures, no exams - just learning and playing together which leads to discovery and understanding.
This song, Glorious by David Archuleta, has a lot of meaning to our program.....'There are times when you might feel aimless, and can't see the places where you belong'.....each one of these kids has been wandering aimlessly, wondering what the future holds for a child who can't read, spell their name and has never had anyone teach them that there is a purpose for their life and 'its been there within you all along.'. That is our mission. To awaken that purpose in each one of these kids and help them to dig deep inside and find why they were so beautifully and wonderfully made and what God has planned for them. Something happens to a young person when someone puts their arm around them and tells them 'You Matter'. It starts slowly with a half smile, hesitantly wanting to believe it, but not sure if its true. But with time, in the right environment with a great coaching team, hope is rekindled and fire ignited and we see our group of kids believing in what they thought was impossible. This happens every day at our Learning Center and we are grateful for the support we receive to continue our efforts to change the lives of young people. 🥰
THEY DID IT!!! Jacob and Denis won their matches and now have qualified to go to Nationals on November 15th!! We are celebrating these two young warriors today and give thanks for their dedication and commitment to follow their dreams and take advantage of every opportunity they’ve been given to improve their lives.
UPDATE! They did it!! They’ve won their matches and are off to the NATIONALS on November 15th!! We are dancing and celebrating for our two young warriors who are changing their lives through hard work and sacrifice.
They may look tough but these two amazing young men are two of our most dedicated, hard working, caring kids we have. For two years they have spent every week day with us developing their talents, learning to read and write and exemplifying true warriors. Today is a BIG day for them…..they are off to Kampala (the big city they’ve never been to before) to participate in a qualifying boxing tournament to see if they can join a local boxing team that will be going to the National Boxing Championships near the end of the month. If they are selected, not only do they get to go to Nationals but will also be able to draw a small salary as team members. Despite lots of setbacks and no consistent coaching, they have risen very early every morning to do their training together and then are at the Learning Center by 9am to start classes. We are cheering for them today as they are given this chance to follow their dreams. Woot woot!!!! Go Jacob and Denis!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🙏🏾💪🏽
This is what our work is all about. Providing opportunities for kids from impoverished areas to follow their dreams and become the best they can be. We don’t try to fit kids into a ‘one size fits all’ box; rather we teach them to BELIEVE in themselves, DISCOVER their unique gifts and talents and then LEAD out into their communities as they work hard to achieve their goals.

The Wealth of a Nation is in its People 🥰
It's 'Wild Wednesday' at our Learning Center as Shafic, our enthusiastic and talented mentor, comes and spends the day teaching our kids team building games and activities, dances and music. This is an opportunity for our kids to try something new; building confidence and courage as they step onto the dance floor! The more exposure we can give our kids to learning new things, the greater chance they have to discover their talents and abilities - then we support and create opportunities for them to develop them further. All our kids suffer from trauma in their young lives; music, dancing and acting out stories are powerful ways to help our kids heal on their journey to becoming whole again. And as always, a big shout out to Shafic for sharing his passions with us. 🙏 😊
