Last week, we achieved a significant milestone by inaugurating the Dohouè MySolGrid in . It provides sustainable energy solutions to over 1,500 residents and businesses in the South of Benin.

The project is powered by 135 kWp of solar panels and supported by 130 kWh of Lithium-ion batteries. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to sustainable development and its long-term impact.

Our partnership with the Beninese Agency for Rural Electrification and Energy Management (ABERME) has played a vital role in securing a 20-year license agreement, paving the way for a transformative change in the community.

This electrification initiative brings light to homes and businesses and promises enhanced economic prospects for the local community. Access to reliable energy facilitates income-generating activities and fosters financial inclusion, driving positive change and prosperity.

Congratulations to the MySol Bénin team and our partners for making this vision a reality. Together, we are powering progress and building a brighter future for all.

We engaged with spectators and introduced our latest water heaters and security lights, generating leads and continuing to impact Africans with sustainable solar-powered solutions.

Great news!

ENGIE Energy Access Zambia and Modern Cooking Facility for Africa (MCFA) have teamed up to expand access to innovative biodigester technology. This partnership addresses critical issues such as poverty, food insecurity, and climate change in Zambia's peri-urban and rural areas. Our collaboration will not only result in clean cooking solutions but also play a role in combating climate change.

With the support of MCFA, we will secure additional funding and effectively double our impact. We aim to uplift communities and promote sustainable practices by the project's completion in 2027.

By leveraging our extensive reach and Sistema.bio's adaptable products, we are poised to deliver significant benefits and encourage sustainable living in off-grid communities throughout Zambia.

The MySol 3.5k is a modular backup battery tailored for Africa's energy needs. Designed for Manufacturing in Africa, it utilises 100% repurposed lithium cells, offering affordability and reducing electronic waste.

Resource efficiency is heightened by second-life battery-management systems from older devices, improving sustainability. The compression-based electrical contact ensures easy repairability, extending its lifespan. The enclosure is extruded from recycled ABS plastic sourced from old devices, further underlining the commitment to a greener future

Our tech team at ENGIE Energy Access Raphaël Guiollot- Bright CHINYIMBA, Mahomed Jagot worked with Max Schmidt & Christoph Konheisner and the larger operations and engineering team to design, dismantle returned battery packs, test and isolate viable cells, re-pack cells into complete and working battery packs with integrated BMS, and test the pack.

On the contest: The international Green Product Awards distinguish sustainable products and services since 2013. The Awards are aimed at projects on the market from start-ups and established companies. The Green Concept Awards celebrate visionary concepts not on the market (yet) in cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung.
