The existence of gangs in school, should not be ignored. School administrators should address gang-related issues head-on or they will fester, harm school climate, and impede the learning environment.
The best way to identify and respond to gangs within the school environment is to create a gang intervention process that begins with awareness and understanding of the gang issue, provides prevention measures, and emphasize consistent consequences for gang behaviors

Did you know that in Uganda, over 1.5 million girls get married before the age of 15 and 4.9 million before the age of 18?
Join us this Thursday together with for a Twitter space conversation on ending child marriage.
Despite its international legal obligations as well as its domestic laws and policies against , Uganda still has a concerning rate of child marriage. Laws that are clear, consistent, and in line with international human rights standards help to reduce the incidence of child marriage in different countries.
The minimum age of marriage and other provisions are clearly captured in the Southern African Development Community Model Law on Eradicating Child Marriage and Protecting Children Already in Marriage (SADC Model Law or simply the Model Law).
This is a critical advocacy tool not just for Southern African Countries but for the entire African region as a whole.
