Most Banyankole who treasure culture usually fix introductions and giveaways (Okwanjura nana okuhingyira) on Fridays.

This is the day that a lady hosts and introduces the husband to be to her family formally. A series of cultural norms are performed and it's when the marriage of the two is blessed and given a green light.

Church wedding, which usually happens on Saturday, follows introduction and giveaway. Thus the reason as to why Okwanjura nana okuhingyira are usually held on Fridays.

Back to Okwanjura nana okuhingyira, the lady is expected to present herself dressed in cultural attires and escorted by a brother and a paternal aunt.

It is the day that the lady's family is always looking up to as it is regarded as a reward to best upbringing of the lady.
