Happy 249th birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps! the Marine Corps used to celebrate their birthday in July? In 1921, the celebration date was changed to reflect the day the Marines were instated, which is today! 🎂

On this day in 1775, the Second Continental Congress resolved to raise two battalions of Marines. The Marine Corps was established to augment naval forces during the Revolutionary War.

Project Manager (PM) Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) welcomed hundreds of teammates, partners and stakeholders to Aberdeen Proving Ground recently for a two-day PNT Integrated Product Team (IPT) engagement.

The 2024 PNT IPT gave attendees the opportunity to reconnect across services and organizations, build new partnerships and share the latest information with other Department of Defense military, government civilian and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory contractors throughout the PNT enterprise.

Highlights of the PNT IPT included a keynote address from Mr. Michael Monteleone, director of the All-Domain Sensing Cross-Functional Team, and later recognizing PNT enterprise personnel who supported the Assured PNT Cross-Functional Team in its mission accomplishment.

PEO IEW&S Project Manager Cyber & Space recently attended the Society of Women Engineers conference in Chicago. PM C&S members joined representatives from several PEOs to share insights on their careers as women in STEM.🔬👩‍💻🧪

From gathering knowledge and collaborating to troubleshooting and providing feedback, electronic warfare Soldiers came together recently with members of PM EW&C and Product Lead Strategic Spectrum Warfare to participate in the latest Soldier Touch Point for the Terrestrial Layer System – Echelons Above Brigade (TLS EAB).

TLS EAB is a Division, Corps and Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF) ground capability planned as an extended-range, terrestrial sensing, collection, and electromagnetic attack system-of-systems. The capability provides Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Radio Frequency-enabled Cyber Operations capabilities for situational awareness, situational understanding and indications and warnings.

Project Manager Defensive Cyber Operations held an All-Hands lunch meeting and chili cook-off to discuss goals and strategic visions for the upcoming fiscal year.

A big congratulations to the Star of the Quarter, Terrance Knight, senior project analyst, and the Team of the Quarter, Audiovisual Upgrade Team for Building 1189/The Forge! 🥳👏⭐

Knight was recognized for his contributions to the Information Dimension program. He understands the criticality of the DCO mission and moves out efficiently and effectively to handle the needs of the organization.

The completion of the audiovisual upgrade is a significant achievement for the Forge, solidifying its position as a premier facility for Army stakeholders. This state-of-the-art upgrade will enable PM DCO to support capability development and collaboration on emerging technologies.

Last week at an AUSA panel on "Building Momentum Towards the MESH," COL Chris Anderson provided insight on how PM IS&A, Formerly Distributed Common Ground System - Army is playing a pivotal role in bolstering the ARmy's data mesh services through implementing the Unified Data Reference Architecture (UDRA) concepts on the Army Intelligence Data Platform. 👏

Earlier this summer, the Hydra Open Application Programming Interface standard was adopted as a UDRA compliant interface for PM IS&A programs including AIDP, TITAN, and other Intel Applications.

Earlier today, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and Project Manager Electronic Warfare & Cyber supported a U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground open house here at APG. ACC-APG teammates and their families interacted with three systems - Mounted Assured PNT System (MAPS), Dismounted Assured PNT System (DAPS), and Modi - and learned more about how PEO IEW&S and ACC-APG partner to keep Soldiers safe and ready for anything!
