Friday evening Beryl update.
The ragged center of Tropical Storm Beryl has moved back over water into the Gulf of Mexico. Beryl spent much of Friday moving over the Yucatan Peninsula. This really weakened the system.
However, conditions are favorable for Beryl to reorganize and become a hurricane again before making projected landfall on the Texas coast.
A Hurricane Watch is in effect for most of the Texas coast.
The current forecast has the small system passing well to the east of the Big Country, Concho Valley and Heartland Monday. However, Beryl should help to draw milder temperatures back into our area Monday. Meteorologist Mark Rowlett - KTXS
