Willow's Way Pyrography
Pyrography; Woodburing; Woodcraft
Still have a little way to go before this one is done but it is coming along really nicely.
Current mood
Bbq patio sign I made as a wedding gift for my brother and his bride.
Personalized cutting board I made for a coworkers wedding! Really love how this one came out.
First picture is the completed board.
Second two are before the board was oiled
Last picture is the initial outline burn before all the details were added.
Burn I did for a co-workers baby shower
Work in progress
Little T-rex on a 4" square
I think he is done
My most recent burns. I love how they come out looking. Did the burn on the one in the 1st pic last night. The two with blue backgrounds I did before Christmas and put into the family gift exchange.
Piece I worked on for a bit last night.
Life is like a cactus
A lot of fine line work and shading tiny places on this one.
Worked on Roxanne's plaque more last night. It is slowing coming along. This is a hard wood that was always weathered so it takes high heat to get the lines in and is time consuming to get the shading color right. Can't wait to see the finished burn. Once that's done I plan to cover it with poly resin. Hoping that will keep it from getting sun bleached again since it will be outside.
Roxanne's sunflower.....Sometimes the wood speaks. Think I'll listen a while longer.
My Earth Moving Hand is done. Now to figure out how to hang it at an angle because I don't like it as much when it's sitting on a flat surface
Even when you prep.....wood has a mind of its own. Had a different picture in mind for this broken chip piece of wood but today it began the process of being something else. Will need at least one more session before it is done.
Ski mountains I made for my husband for his 40th birthday.
Finally finished with this piece. Took much longer than I expected and even though there are a few things I have learned I need to work on more....I love how the final piece came out.
Not completely done with the mountain shading but calling it a night. Just can't get over how good it is coming along so decided to share.
Have another mountain to put in then shading and go back over lines to strengthen the foreground.
Now that I have the foreground done it's time to add some mountains to the background.
This is the most difficult burn I have worked on so far. The lines are so thin and this wood is so sensitive that it is hard to get the right temp and pen stroke to make the lines defined but also separate and distinct.
It's still in the outline stage so has a long ways to go before it's done. Wish me luck.
Have had this piece done for a while now but forgot to share.
Available for $25.
Did a small "Simple" plaque to test out my new professional wood burning tools.
Selling for $5. If interested send me a pm.
WSU plaque I made for someone to give as a Father's Day gift.
Taking a break because my hand hurts.....here's a Father's Day project I'm doing for someone.
Last Wine sign for the "Wine & Dash". Have had such great response that I may have to make a few more.
Also available to make custom designs. If you're interested send me a message.
