🍂We are SO EXCITED to be a part of the Fall Market at with .with.karsons ! I have shopped and collaborated with Karson for years, have been a regular at The Mill since it opened, and FULLY enjoyed the Spring Market as a shopper. So it was a very easy YES when they asked Hey Sugar to be a vendor at this one!

😍This vendor lineup, y’all. SO.GOOD. And, as much as I loved the last one, the Autumn vibe just takes it over the top for me! Not to mention, Fall cookie flavors are some of my most popular, and are some of my favorite to create (and eat😉), too!🍁 Can’t wait to see you there!

🫖HERE’S the TEA. We’ve got quite a few pop-ups and events on the horizon over the next few months. So be sure you’re following our socials and have your notifications on! We are still going to have some regular order availability, but it might look a bit different, as we consider how we might continue to serve you all best, as well continuing to grow and striking a positive balance for our family.🥰 We’ve been here for nearly 4 years now, and we want to continue “bringin’ the sweet” to as many of you as we can, for as long as we can!

🍪Right there next to the tea is our super popular seven and one cookie, created last year to celebrate one year in business for our favorite local bookstore .and.one.books (honestly the “local” isn’t even necessary in that description…it’s our FAV, ANYWHERE). We’ll have that with us, along with the cookie I created for their grand opening (london fog/earl grey creme), a new custom cookie especially requested for their 2 year anniversary👀, and the rest of our September lineup, at their celebration on 9/14!

📚We were there when our dear friends .and.one.books first opened, and I created our beloved london fog cookie to celebrate that. Then, last year, we helped them celebrate 1 year with our seven and one cookie! So of course we couldn’t pass up their request to create something to help celebrate year number 2! Especially with a Mary Poppins theme!😍

🍪We’ll be there on Saturday 9/14 at 10 am, with ALL THREE of those special collab flavors, along with the rest of our September lineup, which will be announced very soon! Can’t wait to celebrate another year of seven and one, and the countless ways they bless our community!

🍍Another fan favorite, back this month…created in honor of my all-time favorite treat (but named carefully, because I’m not messing around with Disney copyrights😉). If I can’t go to Disney, I’m gonna bring Disney to me!

🍍Our pineapple whip is made with fresh pineapple in the batter, for a super light cookie that is then topped with a smooth pineapple buttercream.🧊Pop it in the freezer for a bit, and try it chilled, to get the full BEST DAY EVER experience!

🤍You all fell in LOVE with our wedding cake cookie, that we debuted in June. So much so that we decided to keep it on the menu for July. I have to admit, it’s one of those that I have trouble exerting my own willpower over.

🤍From the thick but light white cake cookie, with a hint of almond…to the thin layer of in-house made white chocolate raspberry ganache (made with fresh raspberries), and fluffy white almond buttercream with a hint of citrus…oh, and a dusting of ✨edible shimmer✨, all of these components really are a match made in cookie heaven.

🤍Only a few more days to grab our July lineup, before we switch over to August. And many of these flavors are summer specific, because of the fresh fruit components. So be sure to grab them while you can!

It starts with a mixture of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate cookie dough (an homage to that neapolitan triple scoop) stuffed full of hot fudge, with a layer of banana cream frosting, plenty of whipped cream, sprinkles, and…of course…a cherry on top.

🩷Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? Yeah, it was me.🤷🏻‍♀️ I always loved my grandmother’s Desert Rose china, as a little girl. And I am blessed to have a few special pieces of it now…including the cookie jar and some tea cups and saucers. We spent many hours in the kitchen together…and the name Hey Sugar comes, in part, from the sweet greeting she always gave me.

🍷The brand new DESERT ROSÉ cookie is a twist on the name of her china pattern. I took our incredibly popular HEY SUGAR SUGAR cookie, and infused some rose extract, then topped it with a rosé wine glaze and a topping of homemade rose sugar, made with edible rose petals and a hint of lemon zest. The result is a light and airy cookie, with a fruity, floral finish, and just a touch of crunch. Beautiful, elegant, and classic…just like my Grandma. Perfect for tea time.

🩷Omigod, OMIGOD YOU GUYS! I just HAD TO make a cookie celebrating this year’s summer musical, LEGALLY BLONDE, even though I’m not in it. Y’all know that the Paramount is a home away from home for me, and I love celebrating my friends and events in our community with exclusive cookies!

✨The brand new LEGALLY BLONDIE cookie is a buttery brown sugar blondie cookie, full of bougie PINK ruby chocolate chips. Introduced in 2017, after beginning development in Belgium in 2004 (right smack dab in the middle between the Legally Blonde movie and musical debuts), ruby chocolate is a distinct natural variety of chocolate, with a rich berry flavor, that is 🩷PINK🩷 in color. I’ve been wanting to use my ruby chips for something special for awhile, and this just seemed like the PERFECT TIME. This seems like JUST the kind of fancy chocolate that Elle would swoon over. I didn’t bake you cake and pie, Paulette, but I did bake you COOKIES! BEND and come SNAP it up! You can get WHIPPED INTO SHAPE later.😉

💍I’ve been working on a wedding cake cookie for awhile…we do our fair share of Hey Sugar weddings and I thought a June release would be perfect for prime wedding season AND, MOSTLY, for a very special family wedding.

🤍My sweet baby cousin married the sweetest guy on the first weekend of June, and it was just the most beautiful, fun time…full of cookies. Melissa Jo was our flower girl, 21 years ago, and she made the most beautiful bride. She even wore my wedding veil, which was also pretty precious.

💍This cookie has ended up being another one that I have very little self-control over. I went off of what I think of when I think of a quintessential wedding cake…and the most popular answers that you all gave when I polled a few months, back.

🤍She’s a white cake cookie, with a hint of almond…topped with a layer of in-house made white chocolate raspberry ganache (made with fresh raspberries) and a fluffy white almond buttercream, with a hint of citrus…oh, and a dusting of ✨edible shimmer✨, because OF COURSE. A total DREAM. *ring not included😉*

✨It’s been fairly quiet around here, other than a big, cookie-full family wedding last weekend, and orders starting this past week. A lot of that is because I have been in rehearsals, since May, for AFTER ZOEY with my alma mater

✨AFTER ZOEY is a beautiful, heartfelt original musical, conceived and written by one of my most beloved professors from college, .hester with original music and lyrics from his family. It’s a story about love and loss and faith, and it’s been a gift to work alongside the incredibly talented young people who make up the rest of our cast.

🍪We open next week, and we sing about the stars and the milky way, a lot. Since I like to mark and celebrate special occasions and events in both my life and our local community with cookies…one of our FIVE NEW FLAVORS this month is our brand new milky way cookie. She’s a milk chocolate chip cookie stuffed full of chocolate, caramel, and mini milky way bars, and finished with a sprinkling of coarse salt for balance (and to make you think of the STARS). We think it will have YOU singing, “GIVE ME THE MILKY WAY”!

🍌🥜Our brand new All Shook Up cookie is an homage to Elvis’ favorite peanut butter and banana sandwiches. A super light graham cracker cookie with a whipped banana cream pie topping, finished with a swirl of peanut butter and whipped cream. It’s a cookie fit for THE KING.

✨💜She’s BAAAAACK!💜✨In my WILDEST DREAMS, I couldn’t have imagined the response to our LAVENDER HAZE cookie, when I introduced it, last year. Of course I know ALL TOO WELL the love for Blondie, and worked like a MAD WOMAN on this one, for awhile…but I didn’t want to be the ANTI-HERO or cause any BAD BLOOD, by getting it wrong! But it seems to be ENCHANTED, because y’all keep eating it up…literally. I would say YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN, but it’s clear it is a true LOVE STORY, for so many of you, which definitely makes me feel like THE MAN.😉

💜🍋She’s a DELICATE, light, and airy lemon and lavender sugar cookie, rolled in lemon-infused sugar, and topped with a fruity and floral lavender lemon glaze…and you best believe she’s still BEJEWELED, with a sprinkling of lemon sugar. Made with fresh lavender buds and in-house made lavender syrup well, she’s just plain GORGEOUS. I mean…”who are we to fight the ALCHEMY”. She’s Lavender Haze (Tine’s Version) and we think you’ll LOVE(h)ER.🍋💜
