Surprise!

Usually Peaches n’ Cream is uniform in color but every so often there is a rogue bloom! I don’t know all the genetics as to why this happens but it’s cool! 😎

Sometimes going rogue is ok!🤷🏻‍♀️

The grass is toast but the flowers look great! 💐

A note to let you know, I will not be at the Abilene Farmers Market Saturday, September 21. But, no worries because you can get your flowers by stopping at Country Mart. Restock is Friday morning, September 20! 🌻

I’ll be back at the market Saturday, September 28. I look forward to seeing you there!

Meanwhile I’ll be doing a rain dance while Copper chases grasshoppers. 🐾

Bloom bucket + bud vases + balloons = birthday! 🥳

What a fun celebration for this family’s daughter!

Thank you for including flowers in her special day!

Bloom buckets! The possibilities are endless.

Need a fun girls night? Have a flower party! Adults and kids of all ages love arranging flowers.

Have a special life event coming up? Bridal shower, baby shower, wedding or anniversary. Create arrangements or bud vase displays with a bloom bucket.

Want to spread some sunshine? Make several flower bunches from a bloom bucket and give out to random people. The feeling you get from giving flowers is amazing!

The inspiration for this bloom bucket is the sunset.
Love it!

Men like flowers too! This weekend while you are celebrating the father figure in your life, remember to get them flowers!

It’s crazy that over 80% of men have not received flowers and the first flowers they receive are at their funeral. 😲

Stop by the Abilene Farmers Market to get a bouquet this Saturday. Let’s crush that statistic and get your special man flowers he can enjoy now! 💙💛💙

It’s a wrap! Ranunculus season is sadly coming to an end. 🥲 When the weather heats up, these beauties say “see ya!”

This flower is a show stopper which is why it is a favorite for weddings and events. I’m happy to grow this flower locally so more people can enjoy its beauty!

You’ll find a few of these beauties one last time in bouquets this weekend.

Pick up your Bouquet of Sunshine at our local grocery store this Friday or the Farmers Market on Saturday, May 25 7 am - 11 am. Come say “hello” and get some local goods! I’ll be under the sky blue tent.

Every day is worthy of flowers! 💐

This morning I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection. The ladies learned about how my cut flower farm, Bella Ren Fields came to be. Their programs are such an uplifting way to start the day!

One lucky lady received a fresh cut flower bouquet from me. I enjoyed spending my morning with these wonderful ladies!

Sunflower Sunday! It’s time to plant 🌱 the first of many sunflowers. These were started inside and after about 10 days they are ready to go outside to be hardened off and then planted. Tucked in with the sunflowers are some onions and garlic to keep unwanted pests away. 🪲🐛

Since sunflowers are one cut wonders, I start seeds every week in order to have these flowers all season.

Early season favorites are the Procut white lite and Procut plum. The soft muted colors are perfect for Mother’s Day bouquets and June weddings! 💗

🌱 Patience in Bloom: The Peony Planting Journey 🌸

Hey flower friends! Let’s talk about the planting peonies and the anticipation that comes with waiting for those stunning blooms! 🌸✨

1️⃣ Planting Day: It all begins with a lot of digging and a dose of love as we carefully tuck those peony roots into their new homes. Remember though to only plant the crown a few inches deep. It’s like giving them a cozy little bed to grow in! We planted these in October of 2022.

2️⃣ Winter chill, Water, Sun, Repeat: Fall planting is good to settle in the roots and give them the deep chill they need . Add water and a splash of sunshine, throughout the winter and we set the stage for good growth come Spring. But remember, patience is key! Good things take time.

3️⃣ The Waiting Game: As the months go by and the weather warms, we eagerly watch for signs of life. Those first little shoots peeking through the soil are like tiny promises of the beauty yet to come. It’s so exciting! Coral Charm and Coral Sunset are early varieties and the first to poke through at our farm.

4️⃣ Anticipation Builds: With each passing day, my excitement grows as the peony field looks like a mini forest. 🌳The vibrant blooms will be here soon! The first year the blooms are sparse but each year the plants produce more.

5️⃣ Blooms Burst: Finally the magic happens! Those buds burst open in a riot of color and fragrance. These beauties are captivating and will always be grown at our flower farm. I love them in bouquets with ranunculus and baptisia! 💕We looking forward to having more peonies available this season!

So here’s to the journey of planting peonies, where years of patience blooms alongside the flowers themselves. 🌸💚

Who else is eagerly waiting for peony paradise?

My Tuber Sale is LIVE and ready for you to pick out your favorite blooms to grow‼️🌸

All varieties are available on my website - link in my bio - under tab Dahlia Tubers

I can’t wait to see your gardens bloom with Dahlias this season!😁

Happy Valentine’s Day from Bella Ren Fields💝

Photos from Bella Ren Fields's post 02/12/2024

Four things I’ve learned about growing dahlias⬇️🌸🤩

1. Dahlias can be grown from seed or tubers. If grown from tubers, they will be true to that variety. Dahlias grown from seed are unique and could become a new variety! So cool!

2. Ball shaped dahlias last longer in the vase than large dinner plate varieties.

3. The size of the dahlia tuber doesn’t matter. Some varieties only make small tubers and that’s ok! They are actually easier to plant than the large tubers. Less digging!

4. Dahlias produce tubers that can be dug up, stored, divided and planted the following season.

😆Ready to impress your neighbors, friends and family by growing some of these beauties! Dahlias can be grown in large pots for your patio or in your garden. You decide what works best for you!

🌸Dahlia tuber sales can be a bit crazy and varieties sell out fast. I’m pleased to announce my dahlia tuber sale will be on Sunday, February 18 at 10 am CST on my website.

✨You can preview what will be available on my website in the link in my bio. The varieties will say Sold Out until the sale goes live on February 18. My growing tips will be included with your order!

🌞Be sure to set a reminder so you can get your favorites! I’m looking forward to seeing the beautiful dahlias you grow!
