Hello everyone! Dyess EM with another infogram on how to better prepare you and your family! This time we are addressing a more local threat to the Abilene area. Tornadoes! We know Dyess has had a couple close calls with these whirling wonders. Here is some great information on how to prepare for a tornado to lessen the effects to you and your family and make recovering from tornadoes as easy as possible. Any tornadic event can be a huge stressor on your and your family, bur preparing can make things a little easier.

Week 2 of National Preparedness month: Build a Kit! Below are some basic supplies as well as some unique needs to consider for yourself or your family. Since you do not know where you will be when an emergency occurs, prepare a kit for your home and vehicle. Alright! Another day of scavenging! And we have new places where Reggie has gone to! The same rules from last week still apply. Just take a picture of yourselves where Reggie has been and send them to me, post them on the page, or post them on IG (dyess_em).

These are the five locations selected for our Be Ready Scavenger Hunt this month. Prizes will be set on the 17th and 24th of September; the Scavenger Hunt will commence through four days - the 17th & 18th, and the 24th & 25th. Make sure to bring your families and friends out and enjoy the fun!
