Since the sneak peek of my first nativity wreath got so much attention and interest—SURPRISE!—I decided I had time to squeeze in another similar and yet so different nativity design. Which do you like best?

Indigenous People’s Day seems the perfect opportunity for me to say that during this downtime from my business as we have settled into European living, I have had some time to reflect and learn and it has become clear to me that calling some of my design work “dreamcatchers” has been wrong, in a number of ways, and I am sincerely sorry for it.

After more research, I realize that beyond it being unacceptable for me to claim the name of a Native design and attribute it to my work, it’s also simply inaccurate. The pieces I design are in no way qualified to be called dreamcatchers, and from here on out you will no longer see me using that term in reference to what I do.

I will continue (hopefully soon), however, to bring you the beautiful floral decor you know me for, with the promise that as I know and learn better, I will strive to do better.

We are Native all the other days too.
