Abilene, Texas- Roy Allen Stanfield gain his wings on June 12, 2024 at 12:51 am. Born to Henry Allen and Lee Esther Stanfield in Brady Texas. Roy attended public schools in Brady TX. He moved to the Abilene State School in the early 90s now known as the Abilene State Supportive Living Center. Then in 2011 Roy transitioned to community living with Draco sevices, then in 2018 he transferred to Intergrated Community Services. Due to several medical issues Roy moved to Bright Pointe Assistant Living in Dec. of 2023 where he lived until his passing. Roy was very sweet and at times way to sweet. He had his moments but we all loved him dearly.

Proceeding him in death were his Parents Henry Allen and Lee Ester Stanfield, Both Paternal and Maternal grandparents, a brother Robert Stanfield, two nieces Lanice Carter, Briauna Stanfield and several Uncles and Aunts.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister Roxie Hastings, his brother Billy Stanfield, and his special cousin Phyllis Brown. Two Aunts Nancy Terrell and Willie Reed on his Maternal side. Roy also has a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin that will cherish his memories.

Jerry Davis Reid passed away June 1, 2024 at his home in Abilene, Texas. A memorial service will be held at North Park Baptist Church, Saturday June 22nd, at 1:30 pm at 1525 Anson Avenue, Abilene, Texas 79601.

Jerry was born January 2, 1941 to Austin Manuel Reid, Sr and Belma Lee Johnson Reid in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Jerry spent his formative years growing up in Levelland and Medina,Texas. Jerry was an honor student, graduating from Levelland High School in 1959, where he was a Golden Glove Champion Boxer, National Merit Scholar, and Who’s Who in Science. Jerry obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with honors.

Jerry had a full life and was a boisterous storyteller from his many adventures as a boxer, spelunker, airplane pilot, avid backpacker, camper, canoer, snorkeler, sailboat captain, scientist, rancher and mission field evangelist.

Between 1959-1999 Jerry worked in the fields of Oil and Gas, Microelectronics, Aerospace, Technical Engineering, and Computer Science and was a business owner.

In 1980, when Jerry wanted more time and adventures with his family, he and Denver spent a year homeschooling, traveling and camping with their three sons David, Douglas and Daniel traversing from Key West, Florida up the East Coast to NewFoundland, Canada, then to California and Mexico before settling back in the Texas Hill Country where he opened his business Custom Glass and Solar in Kerrville, Texas. Jerry and Denver moved to Abilene in 1986, where they were active members of Crescent Heights Baptist Church.

After 40 years of working and adventuring in the states, Jerry and Denver/Judi, served 10 years in the Southern Baptist International Service Corp Missions in Taiwan, Chile, South Africa, Namibia and Angola.

Upon completion of their faithful service on the mission field, Jerry and Denver spent 5 years living and traveling the Gulf of Mexico aboard their sailboat “Ocean’s Fifteen”, sailing all the way to the Dry Tortugas, before returning to retirement on land back in Abilene, Texas.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Austin Sr. and Belma Lee, his son David Reid, brother-in-law Ricky Taylor, sisters-in-law Barbara Gail Whitehead Reid and Barbara Ann Fowler Reid.

Jerry is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Judith “Denver” Taylor Reid, two sons: Douglas Reid and wife Monica of Abilene,Texas; Daniel Reid and wife Darcy of Houston,Texas; eight grandchildren: Ashley, Nick, Alex, Sarah,Truman, Jack, Emily, Riley; one brother Austin Reid, Jr of Kerrville; brother-in-law Michael Taylor and wife Melissa of Corpus Christi,Texas; an aunt ‘T.J.’ Tincy Johnson Hartman of Dallas, Texas, nephews: Brett, Lance, Michael, Cody, and Weston; nieces: Heather, Jordan, and Autumn and many cousins and dear friends and family.

William Roy “Billy” Goodrich, 77, of Abilene went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 15, 2024. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Girdner Funeral Home, 141 Elm St., Abilene, Texas. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park.

Billy was born in Abilene, Texas to the late William Monroe Goodrich and Maurine Mozel Brazzil Goodrich on January 2, 1947. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1965 and remained an avid Cooper Cougar fan and football season ticket holder from 1977-2007. Upon graduation from high school he began working for Hogue’s Glidden Paint & Decorating Studio until 1988 when the Hogue’s retired and then went on to work for Clayton Chemical until 2001 when Darrel Knight agreed to purchase Clayton Chemical if Billy would come to work for him and Billy agreed! Clayton Chemical was then consolidated into Willis Pool & Chemical which Mr. Knight already owned where they became great friends and Billy remained until 2020 when he retired. A natural born salesman, he was a people pleaser and was loved by all who knew him.

Billy was a lifelong member of St. James United Methodist church where the entire Goodrich family were Charter Members. He served on numerous committees, sang in the choir and dedicated countless hours to the St. James food booth at the West Texas Fair & Rodeo.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Carolyn Goodrich Welch; brother-in-law Arthur Joe Yoho; nephews Wilson Greg Yoho and Christopher Mark Yoho.

Left to cherish memories are his sister, Sharon Yoho of Hephzibah, Georgia; Nicky Gillit, brother-in-law Gary Tom “Casey” Welch; nieces Juanette Lea (Todd) Harman, Susie Brecheen, Karla Sue (Ricky) Jackson, all of Abilene, Texas and Aletha (Eric) Snowberger of Hephzibah, Georgia. Nephews Randy (Cathy) Gillit of Abilene. Great niece and nephews Amanda Harman, Eathan (Julia) Brecheen, Tyler (Sarah) Harman, Kathrine Snowberger, Andrew Snowberger, Katharine Jackson and Cody Jackson and numerous great, great nephews and nieces all of whom he loved unconditionally.

The Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Harman, Tyler Harman, Eathan Brecheen, Mac Brecheen, Randy Gillit and Darrel Knight.

Michael Don Powers passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 68. Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who touched the lives of many.

Born February 18, 1956, Michael was raised in Odessa, Texas and spent his life working diligently in the oil industry, where his expertise and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He cherished his role as a pipe inspector, contributing his skills to an industry he deeply loved.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Powers, and children: Christina and Nathan McClellan, Mary and Sheldon Adcock, and Stephen and Sharon Royall. He was a proud grandfather to Malory, Valory, Sebastian, Bryson, and Seth, and cherished great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren. Michael is also survived by his brother Dan Powers.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Powers and Clinton and Shiela Hunt, and his sister Cathy Whatley.

Michael's life was characterized by his deep love for his family, his unwavering support for his Dallas Cowboys, and his immense pride in his Texan heritage. He found joy in simple pleasures like spending time with loved ones, enjoying nature and listening to country music.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and Texan pride will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Joyce Louise Andrews, 94, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, after a beautifully lived life. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at First Central Presbyterian Church, 400 Orange St., Abilene, TX 79601, inurnment will follow in the columbarium. Pastor Cliff Stewart will officiate the service.

​Joyce was born on February 11, 1930 in Tinley Park, Illinois. In 1948 she started school at Thornton Junior College. Joyce married Robert Hale Andrews on June 21, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. After a move from Chicago to Houston and then to Bel Air, she enjoyed raising her four children. After several moves Joyce and her family moved to Abilene, Tx 1974.

Joyce became general manager of operations for Grigsby’s Rag doll. After retiring Joyce also enjoyed being an account manager for Willow Creek Design and Landscaping, which was owned by two of her children, Jennifer and Adam.

​She was a kind and loving mother and nana, who was always there when we needed her, offering support, wisdom, and an abundance of love. Full of laughter, love, and kindness she was known as mom and nana to many people not just her children and grandchildren. She was a cherished member of her church and left behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love.

​Preceding her in death were her parents, Lillian and Stanley Larson; twin brothers, Jim and Jerry Larson; husband, Robert Hale Andrews; daughter, Jennifer Cleveland; son, Robert Andrews Jr..

Survivors include a sister, Joan Orwar and husband Russ; daughter, Kim Arauza and her husband Ike; son, Adam Andrews and his wife Amber; 10 grandchildren, Brent Cleveland and Fiance Tanya, Curtis Cleveland and wife Shawnae, Lauren Remore and husband Jeff, Kalen Feldman and husband Josh, Ryan Arauza and fiance Grace, Stephanie Andrews, Matt Andrews, Danjel Watson, Amanda Hansley and Nathan Cunningham; 11 great grandchildren, J.D., Trevor, Clair, Ashlynne, Christopher, Isabella, Ariel, Sofia, Tyler, Chandler, and Chloe; 2 great great grandchildren, Atlas and Aspen.

Phyllis Joy Loving (Carterman) was born on Sunday June 9th 1946, to Mary Geneva Finch and Elzie Leroy Carterman. She left this world on Monday June 10th, 2024 .

Phyllis graduated from Diamond, Mo high school in 1964. She married Albert Loving on March 14,1965. They divorced in June 2010.

Phyllis and Albert had 5 daughters. She is preceded in death by both parents, Daughter Joy Wheeler, fur baby Robin (white socks), Ex-husband Albert Loving. Sisters Florence , Carol Jane and Brother Wayne, son in law Clarence Weaver and a granddaughter Amanda.

Phyllis is survived by 4 of her daughters. Sherry and John Ferguson of Abilene, TX, Mary Weaver of Springfield,MO, Teresa Loving and Allen Palmer of Gilman City, MO, and Crystal and Michael Insall of Abilene, TX. Also by one brother Richard Carterman of Diamond, MO.

Phyllis has nine grandchildren Amy Wolf of MO, Kelly White of Trenton,MO, Nathan of MO, Rosa Lutz Of Springfield, MO, Christopher Shirk of Liberty, MO , Emma of Iowa, Mae of Nixa, MO, And Kyle Deckard of Mount View, MO. She also has eight great grandchildren.

Phyllis has worked different jobs in her life. She has worked in in Restaurants, fast food and as an CNA in nursing home. Phyllis always put her family first. She loved all of her girls. Phyllis was a very independent woman. She raised 5 daughters and all the girls lived to have kids of their own.

Phyllis was diagnosed with Parkinson’s with lewy body dementia in February 2019, and has been super strong at fighting this disease. She fell and broke her left hip February 2021. Phyllis went into the nursing home after that.

Phyllis was born and lived in Missouri until August 2021 when we moved to Abilene. She had wanted to move out of Missouri for a long time. She was able to live the last few years in Texas. She keep fighting all the way to the end. She was super strong but now she is with the lord. Phyllis was loved by all the staff at Brightpointe and Alpha Omega Hospice.

Dee Whitfield (Pete) Hart
April 19, 1933 - May 15, 2024

On the afternoon of May 15th, Dee “Pete” Hart passed away peacefully at home after a long fight with cancer. Pete loved the outdoors, listening to music and sharing stories with friends and family. Pete was 91 years of age when he passed. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at Girdner Funeral Home, 141 Elm Street Abilene, TX. Following will be a private graveside service held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, TX.

Pete was born in Aspermont, TX, to Lawson and Lena Mae Hart in April 1933. He spent most of his life in the Aspermont & the Abilene area. After graduating from Aspermont High SchooCl Pete enlisted in the US Army, where he proudly served overseas. He then attended Hardin Simmons University. While at HSU, Pete had many college football accomplishments, such as: Outstanding Cowboy running back 1955-58. 4 year letterman and 3 year starter. Nation’s 4th leading rusher and Border Conference rushing leader in 1958 with 785 yards. Gained 2281 career yards on 443 carries. Selected Co-Captain & All-Border Conference-1958. Honorable Mention All-American - 1958. Played in Blue-Gray game-1958. Named 1958-59 most outstanding Cowboy athlete. Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals-1959. Played for New York Titans-1960. Pete taught school and coached various sports in TX. Port Neches, Bridgeport, Anahuac, Mineral Wells, Weatherford, and Abilene. He worked in the oil and drilling field with Halliburton, Hughes Tool Co., DB Drilling Inc., and Chisholm Exploration, Inc. to name a few.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carole, his parents, and two brothers, Dick and Doyle.

He is survived by his children, Dee Hart, Jr. (Cathy), Penny Peterson (Robert) and Joe Hart , and his two step-sons, Marcus Watson (Stephanie) and Christopher Watson (Ana). Brother-in-Law Terry Lankford Jr. (Susan). He is also surviv ed by his loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, and nephews.

Lin Senh Jenny Chick was born on August 20, 1959, in South Vietnam. She died in Abilene on May 26, 2024, at the age of 64.

When Jenny was only three years old, her father Chieng Hing Man died at the young age of 33. She also had a sister, Chieng Knight Ling, who died at the age of 14.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Shiu Cheong Alec Chick, 68. Her five children:

With her first husband, Le Pau Tu:

- David Tu, 40

She had three sons with Alec:
- Andy Hin Fai, 29
- Alexander Hin Ming, 27
- Aaron Hin Yue, 26

She also has three grandchildren whom she loves and adores:

- Oliver Trinh, 5
- Ryan Tu, 1

She is also survived by her mother, Ho Tin, 86, and sisters:
- Chieng Cun Mui, 68
- Chieng Ngoe Anh, 66
- Chieng Conie, 51

After the Vietnam War, her family had to flee the country. With her dad having already passed away, it was just her mom and sisters. Their boat was about to sink when the US military helped save them by contacting a nearby fishing boat. They ended up in a Malaysian refugee camp with food provided by the military. From there, it was determined that all refugees were to be sent to other countries where they had family residing already. Jenny’s grandma was already in San Francisco, so their family was sent there. They learned English and worked in a restaurant. She met her first husband, Le Pao Tu, and followed him to Dallas where they got married and had a daughter, Wendy, and a son, David. After they divorced, she met and married Alec October 17, 1991 and had three more children: Andy, Alexander, and Aaron.

Alec owned a restaurant for a short time, and when it closed, she became a stay-at-home mom. In 2014, she started working as a bus monitor for special needs children with the Abilene ISD until she was unable to continue in 2023.

Her favorite color was green, which fit with her favorite hobby, gardening. She had an exceptional green thumb and could make anything grow larger and greener. She especially loved growing Chinese vegetables. Her favorite flowers were burgundy roses and jasmine flowers.

She also loved traveling and food. Seafood was her favorite, but she also loved the style of Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese food.

Jenny had such a kind heart and always wanted to help others in need. She cared so much about the feelings of others, and was such a good listener.

She really loved visiting her grandchildren. Her biggest hope is that her children and grandchildren will be successful in life.

Graveside service will be 11am Thursday June 6, 2024 at Hawley Cemetery.

James Dorrell, 85, of Abilene Texas passed away on March 3, 2024.

Jim was born in Overton, Tx. March 31, 1938. He grew up in Troup, Texas and joined the Navy in 1956 and served aboard the USS Saratoga.

Jim is survived by his three daughters, Melissa Barker (Ron), Tammy VosWinkel (Keith), and Summer Swann.

Five grandchildren, Ashley Kitten, Amanda Waeden, Katelyn Barker, Jacob VosWinkel, Jared VosWinkel and three great grandchildren, Oscar Wilson, Noah Kitten , Emma Kitten.

There will be a brief memorial service, with US Navy honors, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. on June 21st at 11 a.m.

Mr. Baugh passed away on May 17, 2024, at Willowcreek Nursing Home in Abilene, Texas at the age of 79. A memorial service will be held on June 22, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Clearfork Baptist Church in Hawley, Texas.

He was born on August 18, 1944, in Centerville, Iowa to Bill Baugh and Edna Foster Smith Baugh.
In May of 1962 he graduated from Centerville High School in Centerville, Iowa.

On October 3, 1964, he married his forever bride Annetta (Ann) Printy Baugh. They were married for 59 years. If he was still alive and someone asked how many years he was married, he would have said 49 happy years, but we have been married 59.

He is survived by his wife Ann of Hawley, Texas, a brother, Terry Baugh (Helen) of Tennessee, two sons: Allen (Toby) Lee Baugh from Abilene, Texas, Scott Aaron Baugh (Amanda) of Tennessee, and daughter-in-love Melanie Tidrow Hatfield (Jeff) of Hawley, Texas.

Gary (aka: Grampy) is survived by six grandchildren: Mallen Sanchez (David) of Abilene, Texas, Mae Baugh (Jamie) of Denton, Texas, Christian Baugh (Grace) of Abilene, Texas, Ashlee Baugh, Breanna Baugh and Dakota Baugh of Cussetta, Alabama as well as grandchildren by love, Lucy Hatfield, Donnie Hatfield and Emily Roden. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Fox Sanchez, Lilly Sanchez of Abilene, Texas and Evylette Craddock of Denton, Texas and four great grandchildren in love Teddy, Nevaeh, Joshua, and Joseph.

He is also survived by a special niece, Brenda Baugh Wood (Brad) of Arkansas, two nephews, Russell Baugh (Marilyine) of Iowa, Tracy Baugh (Pam) of Iowa. He also is survived by nieces and nephews, Patricia Edgin (Charles) of Wisconsin, Rev. Wayne Kennedy (Theresa) of Wisconsin, Crystal Priest of Maine, Naomi Peterson of Minnesota, Vonda Printy of Illinois, Brian Printy of Illinois, and Cheryl Whitfield (Dean) of Illinois He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and a host of family members and dear friends. Special mention to dear friends and ministers Ken Brooks (Pam) of Alabama and Mark Tatum (Lisa) of Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Edna Baugh and a nephew Bruce Priest.

Gary was an ordained Bishop of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee on January 30, 1976. He pastored churches in Iowa, Nebraska, Mississippi, Texas and Alabama. He served for four years as State Youth Director in Nebraska. His ministry spanned fifty years, with the last 19 years of ministry at the Handley Avenue Church of God in Roanoke, Alabama.

He studied at the International Seminary and received the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Theology on January 15, 1991, from Plymouth, Florida.

When he set his mind to do something, he did it. His abilities and talents included preaching, playing the piano, singing, cross-stitching, painting, being a jokester and writing. He authored 45 books with “There’s Nobody Like Jesus,” being his best-selling book.

He will be remembered and missed by many. Forever in our hearts.
His ashes will be placed to rest at Willow cemetery in Haskell, Texas.

In Loving Memory of Nelson Olinger Nelson Edward Olinger, 88, of Abilene, Texas, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Hendrick Medical
Center.

Nelson was born November 3, 1935, to Edward Lincoln and Ruth Bailey Olinger in Greensburg, Kansas. He moved to Burns, Kansas, as a child, then to El Dorado, Kansas, where he graduated high school in 1954. After high school, Nelson worked for Coca Cola and married his sweetheart, Letha Oneda Edwards on April 8, 1955, in Leon, Kansas.

Nelson eventually moved from El Dorado, Kansas to Lathem, Kansas where he served as the mayor from 1969 to 1972. He later worked for Williams Natural Gas Company in Ulysses, Kansas and eventually retired in Independence, Kansas.

Nelson spent most of his remaining years doing what he loved; raising cattle and drinking coffee with his buddies at the coffee shop. In 2020 Nelson and Letha moved to Abilene, Texas to be closer to family. Nelson spent the last 4 years making new friends who he loved joking and sharing stories about the good ol' days with, trying to grow the impossible Texas garden, but most days you
could find him tinkering in the garage.

Nelson loved politics and was very active in his communities. He sat on the school board for Bluestem High school and was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge where he was a Master of the Joppa Lodge in 1965. Nelson held a 50 year pin with the
Masonic Blue Lodge and was a 32° Mason.

Nelson was survived by his wife, Letha Olinger; daughters, Oneda Doyal of Montrose, Colorado and Loree Henley and husband Frank of Abilene, Texas; sisters Kathryn Salmans of Meridian, Texas and Barbara Newbill of Kingman, Arizona; grandchildren, Christopher Doyal and wife Stephanie of Austin, Colorado, Mindy Doyal of Montrose, Colorado, Charity Reiser and husband James of Hayden, Colorado, Nicky Lanham of Abilene, Texas and Kenneth Henley of Austin, Texas; 11 great- grandchildren and the world's sweetest great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Nelson was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Ruth Olinger; brothers, Willard Olinger, Basil Olinger, Harvey Olinger and Keith Olinger; sister, Marjorie
Riley and infant sisters Iris and Darlene Olinger.

Abilene, Texas- Barbara Ellen Matthews, 73, passed away May 24, 2024.

Barbara Ellen Matthews, Born on May 6, 1951, in Abilene, Texas passed away on May 24, 2024, in her hometown of Abilene, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Bobby and stepfather Charles McCarrell. Barbara’s childhood was filled with laughter, love, and a strong sense of family values instilled by her parents.

In her lifetime, Barbara faced many challenges and hardships, but she always persevered with grace and strength. She was preceded in death by her mother, stepfather, daughter Shannon, and brothers Richard, Greg, David, and Kevin. Despite the pain of losing her loved ones, Barbara remained resilient, carrying her memories in her heart every day.

Barbara’s legacy loves on through those she leaves behind. She is survived by her brothers James Hill and Mikael Hill, along with their wives Marsha and Yvette, respectively. Barbara cherished her family deeply, and her role as a matriarch and chef brought joy and warmth to their gatherings. Her dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and her presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to her family, Barbara was also survived by her lifelong best friend, Patsy Newman. Their bond was unbreakable, a friendship that stood the test of time and trials. Barbara’s generosity, kindness, and loyalty endeared her to all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to call her a friend.

Beyond her roles as a daughter, mother, sister, and friend, Barbara was woman of diverse interest and talents. She was a true crime enthusiast with a sharp mind and keen wit. Her exceptional artistic abilities brought beauty and creativity into the world, reflecting her unique perspective and vision. Barbara was also a devoted fan of George Jones, finding solace and joy in his music throughout her life.

As we bid farewell to Barbara Matthews, we remember her as a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and a source of inspiration to all that knew her. Her memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love perpetuated in her honor. Rest in peace, dear Barbara, may your spirit soar free as you watch over us from above.

Victoria Garcia, passed away at home on Wendsday May 22, 2024.

Victoria was born on June 2, 1976 to Joe and Irene Garcia in Abilene. She lived a life with 3 brothers Johnny Garcia, Joe Garcia, and Andy Garcia.

Her life was adventurous. Her father and brothers loved to work on cars and you would find Victoria getting dirty as well. Doing everything her brothers did and enjoying every bit of it. She made a lot of friends along the way between Stamford and Abilene who became sisters to her. She even named her 2 daughters after a few of them.

In 1994 she found her one true love Jesus Urrabazo. They welcomed their 2 oldest daughters Jessica Seals and Kimberly Martinez into this world before making vows to each other in 1998. A little while after they welcomed Irene Urrabazo then their one and only son Jesus Santiago Jose .

Victoria dedicated her life to being the best mom she could be. Attending school functions, supporting her kids in any way. She also helped raised her bonus daughter Aracely Urrabazo who she loved very deeply. She had 18 grandkids who loved to be with her and she would spoil them beyond anything. Her world revolved around them just as much as thiers did her.

Victoria was raised as an only daughter but found she had a sister Isabel Garcia who became a big part of her life. She finally got to feel the love of a sister. They were inseparable. Victoria loved to be surrounded by family enjoying a beautiful day listening to some good music. She had a beautiful smile that could light up any room.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Irene Garcia, Her brother Joe Anthony Garcia, and Sister Cynthia Garcia.

She leaves behind her bonus Daughter Aracely Urrabazo, daughter in law Anastasia Ortiz, daughter Jessica Seals, son in law Joseph Seals, daughter Kimberly Martinez, son in law Sonny Martinez, youngest Irene Urrabazo, and son Jesus Santiago.

Pamela “Pam” Lee Tompkins, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Abilene, Texas after battling cancer.

Pam was born in Fort Worth, TX, on January 9, 1954, to Donald F. Bondick and Christine Divita Bondick.

Pam is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Tompkins; parents, Donald and Christine Bondick, her sister, Rebecca Bondick and brother-n-law, Benjamin Ravelo.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica White and husband, Matthew White, of New Braunfels, TX; one grandson, Shane Galindo and wife, Johanna Galindo, of Fort Worth, TX; one granddaughter, Amanda Galindo, of Pflugerville, TX; and four great-grandchildren.

Pam is also survived by two brothers: Greg Bondick and wife, Lynette Bondick, of Abilene, TX and Joseph Bondick and wife, Debra Bondick, of New Braunfels, TX; two sisters, Melissa McDaniel and husband, Randy McDaniel, of Bastrop, TX; Debbie Burns and husband, Jerry Burns, of Odessa, TX; one sister-n-law, Marlene Ravelo, of Pahrump, NV along with several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Pam is also survived by her dog, Roxy, who will miss her tremendously.

Pam graduated from Cooper High School and spent the majority of her life in Abilene, TX. Pam worked for and retired from the City of Abilene’s Human Resources Department. Pam had many friends throughout her life and was a very giving person. She was loved dearly by everyone she met and will be missed by many.
