There will be a Wylie ISD School Board regular meeting tonight, June 10th at 6:30 pm. All meetings are open to the public and held at the Wylie Early Childhood Center Library located at 6249 Buffalo Gap Road.

Congratulations to our Pure Gold Band students that competed in the State Solo and Ensemble competition!

The WHS Class of 2024 graduation ceremony will be Friday, May 24th at 7:00 pm at the Taylor County Expo Center. Graduation will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend.

Things to note:

⭐We do suggest driving to the venue by way of South 11th street as the traffic light off the highway does back up quite a bit. One of the AISD high schools will be graduating from Shotwell this same night.
⭐There is ABSOLUTELY NO reservation of seats at graduation. All seats are first come, first serve.
⭐EAST coliseum doors will open for handicap seating (on the floor) at 5:45. Handicap and elderly may bring their family to sit in the floor seats. No other seats will be available at this time.
⭐ALL coliseum doors will open at 6:00 PM for all attendees.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Regional Quarterfinal Champions! Wylie baseball beats Abilene High 14-4 to win the series. Moving on to the Regional Semis!

The Wylie ISD annual Retirement Reception will be held this, Monday, May 20th from 4-5:30 pm at the Wylie Performing Arts Center. This is a "come and go" reception and refreshments will be provided.

This event is open to all friends, family, staff, students and former students.

Congratulations to Tehzeeb Grewal, STATE CHAMPION 5A Spelling & Vocabulary (with the top score in the entire state across all six divisions of a 96 and a perfect tie-breaker score of 20)!!The next score in 5A was a 92/18. 🏆

TONIGHT!!!! The WHS Theatre Department is performing their annual 24 Hour Musical tonight, Saturday, May 4th at 5:30 pm at the PAC. Students found out at 6:30 pm Friday night that they are performing in the Musical, FOOTLOOSE, and have 24 hours to pull together a production! It's lots of fun! Come support our students!

Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door.

This week, Wylie High School hosted a Career Fair in the gymnasium with over 40 businesses represented to talk with our high school students about their businesses! This was a great way for our students to get to visit with our local businesses as well as the businesses getting to know our students for potential future employment opportunities. There were also career options for students wanting to attend college or trade schools.

Thank you to all of the businesses that came and supported our efforts to bring a career fair to Wylie High!

Register for the End of School Parents Night Out hosted by the WHS Chapter of the Texas Association of Future Educators. It will be held on May 6th from 6-8 pm at the WHS Library.
