Benjamin - ATEMS High School, Class of 2024

How are we already here - the youngest Weems brother has graduated! We have had the privilege of knowing this young man since he was born. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and is planning to attend ACU this fall! We are so proud of Benjamin and excited to see him move into this exciting new time in life.

Miss Laura - Wylie High School, Class of 2024

Laura is a beautiful young lady who we have been given the absolute honor to photograph for many years. We met her when she was a tiny angel in Abilene Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker production several years ago…and this year she danced the part of the Sugar Plum Fairy!

She graduated from Wylie High School last Friday and we are so excited for her! We had a wonderful time capturing her senior portraits over the course of a couple days. She is stunning and has the sweetest soul! We will miss watching her dance but will love seeing her future unfold as she heads off to Aggieland!

Miss Audrey - Cooper Cougarette

We’ve known this beautiful young lady since she was about 5! We have had the honor of creating portraits as a ballerina at Ballet Abilene and now as a Cougarette. We had some great laughs and made some fun memories while creating images of her rookie year!

Congrats to Audrey for making the line for the 24/25 school year too!

AAron Evans (Ace) - Clyde Bulldogs - Class of 2024

We met Ace and his family last year when we created some images for their Winter Formal. And now he’s a senior and ready to graduate and prepare for college!

We enjoyed a beautiful evening in Clyde creating images of Ace. He is involved in several sports, band, and more. Congrats to Ace - excited to see your future unfold!

Load up those laptops and meet us at Texas Photo Rental (1558 S. 14th) on March 19 for a Lightroom and AI class led by Tim Hinson, CPP of Abilene. He'll have some pictures for us to edit along with him. Even if you don't use Lightroom, you can still use this information with Adobe Camera Raw, so there should be something for everyone!

There is no charge for members who have paid dues ($80) for 2024. Guests are $25/each.

Class starts at 6:30, snacks and drinks will be provided. Bring a friend!

I had the opportunity to teach at our local guild meeting in February. I demonstrated a two light portrait, portraits on a white background, and an edgy four light setup. I used purple gels on the background. I also demonstrated how to use a light meter. A big thank you to Julia and Madison from ACU’s spirit squads for modeling and being patient with me while I taught.

We are looking forward to our local guild’s first meeting for 2024! Join us this Tuesday, February 27 at 6:30pm for our annual member meeting. We’ll meet in the Cockerell Building, 1133 N. 2nd, Studio 213.

We will share all about our 2024 schedule, elect officers, and renew your membership - it’s still only $80/year! After a short meeting, I will share some fun and different lighting set ups and we’ll have models too. No gear is needed but you might want to take notes. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Invite and bring a friend! Any level of photographer is welcome. Hope to see you there.

Hello Baby Education by Kimberly Cowan Photography

Kimberly’s program “Hello Baby” will be about her journey throughout the last 10 years as an award winning and successful bump to baby portraiture artist. She will explain her artistic/creative process, newborn safety practices, how she attracts clients through creative marketing, her lighting and equipment choices, post processing techniques for that final touch, and In Person Sales.

Kimberly Cowan is currently a Certified Professional Photographer and a Master Photographer through the PPA and is based in North Midland, TX. Kimberly first fell in love with photography in 2011 after purchasing her first DSLR to take picture of her own beautiful little family and after realizing her great passion for the art, with faith and love she quit her full-time career with the local collage to open up her own retail/commercial front studio to provide bump to baby and family portraiture for the good people of West Texas and the world.

Kimberly is a wife and mother to two adorable children who are 17 and 9. She has 3 tiny dogs, a 3-legged kitty cat, and when she isn’t bringing joy to the world by photographing babies is in her backyard gardening bringing flowers and veggies to life.

Chloe - Class of 2024

We have been privileged to know this precious young lady since she was 3 years old! Her parents are dear friends and she is the 3rd of their 4 kiddos.

Chloe wanted an outdoor/country look for her senior portraits, and the Abilene State Park did not disappoint!

We are excited to watch her life unfold. She has a heart of gold and is a sweet gift from the Lord!

Addison & Aubrey

This sweet sister duo is always a joy when they stop by the studio. They’re beautiful dancers and gorgeous young ladies. We are excited to watch them grow in their craft and excited to see them perform in the Nutcracker in just a few short months!

Angelina

This is one of our sweet ballerinas that we’ve photographed for several years. She is stunning! We love watching the dancers grow in their art and skill. We always enjoy capturing beautiful images of sweet Angelina.

Family

Our family is special and we understand that what we have is very unique and not something that most blended families get to experience.

Every couple years, our Colorado family comes to Texas to celebrate our Morrow grands’ birthdays and have a mini family reunion. Sometimes we have 50 people and sometimes we have 25-30. No matter how many are able to attend, we know that we will always laugh, eat, celebrate, and share a bond that is ours and is full of love and grace.

One of our favorite parts is that all seven cousins are able to be together - and no one understands a family better than the cousins! 😉 This year, we were able to sneak in a studio session and these precious kiddos rocked it!

We are so grateful for the time we are able to spend together. Spend time with your people, take the photos, and hug each other!

Miss Kinley

Stunning, funny, and little bit sassy are a few ways we would describe this beautiful dancer. She’s easy to spot on the stage with that gorgeous smile! Always a great time when Kinley stops by the studio.

Miss Audrey

We have known and photographed this sweet one for more than 8 years! She has become one of our own and we love every portrait session we get to do with her. She is excelling in her art and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow. Her costumes this year were so cute. She and Steve had some fun playing with a camera and she nailed it!

Roy & Ruby

Recital season has been so wonderful, like always! We always love when we get to photograph these two amazing kiddos and this year was no exception. Their Newsies and Mary Poppins costumes fit them so perfectly and we had a blast with them!

We still have a few openings for dance sessions! If the times we have available won’t work for your schedule, let us know and we’ll find another day and time. We have loved seeing all the beautiful dancers and adorable costumes this year!

We have had a fun and eventful couple of weeks here at Steve Morrow Photography. After several years as a member of our state affiliate, Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA), Steve had the honor of receiving his Full Fellowship Award. This award is given to a member who has earned 100 merits - service, print competition, education, etc. Our state association and its programs, events, and members are the reason Morrow Photography is the portrait business that is today! Thank you to everyone that has been part of this journey. We are forever indebted to TPPA!
