Get in the ACT: We are a 100% volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization. Established in 1954, Abilene Community Theatre has performed or hosted over 400 theatrical productions. Our theatre, located on Barrow Street, has been our home since 1958. The round building next door was also at one time thriving stage. We are always open to new members- actors, directors, play writes, and volunteers of all skills and skill levels. Please join us as we strive to grow the Abilene Community Theatre!

We are excited to announce our cast for Chapter Two, with a quick note from our director, Mike Stephens:
During auditions for Neil Simon’s Chapter Two, I had the opportunity to work with 15 uniquely talented individuals. Each could have been cast, and would have brought so much to the role, but I think you will enjoy these four who will bring so much to the characters in Chapter Two!
Performances for Chapter Two will be August 16th - 18th and 23rd - 25th.

Don’t miss the chance to audition for the first show of our 70th season! Auditions are June 24th and 25th. Remember to memorize a monologue from another Neil Simon play and be prepared for cold readings from the script.

At 85, I hope I'm deep into gardening, grandkids, and- frankly, my dear- not giving a damn. If I have dementia at 85, I hope I'm the funny kind of demented instead of the mean, chair-throwing variety. I also plan to knit all the time. It's good for the brain!

What!? A 7th show!? Yes! For our 70th season, we are treating you to a 7th show! Our final show is On Golden Pond, written by Ernest Thompson and directed by Scot Miller!
Witness the love story between Ethel and Norman Thayer as they return to their home on Golden Pond for the 48th year in this summer drama.
On Golden Pond performances will be July 11th - 13th and 18th - 20th.
