This can happen anywhere! Please NO boarding, NO dog parks, etc. Keep your pets safe by making sure they are at least up to date on vaccinations, they do not come in contact with other dogs outside the home, and please keep them at home this holiday season! Many pet sitters offer drop in visits to YOUR home, so please take advantage of that service.

I am closed till January, but there are plenty of great pet sitters that provide exceptional service.

If your pet does show symptoms, don’t hesitate to get them seen at the vet! Let’s protect our fur babies as best we can!

It’s that time again! THIS SATURDAY: Help protect your dog from distemper and parvo with another free vaccine clinic.

Join us on Saturday, November 4th from 8am to 11am. All Kind will offer FREE DAPPV vaccines for dogs in a drive-thru clinic at the Abilene Animal Shelter.

Vaccines will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
No registration needed prior to the event.

Vaccines are made available through and their national vaccination initiative to provide 2 million pet vaccines to its existing animal welfare partners, including All Kind Animal Initiative, for family pets in need.

First heat wave of the summer is upon us! ☀️ A few reminders and tips for your furry friends during these HOT days:
• Walks should occur early in the morning or very late at night. Best times are early mornings when it is coolest.
• Watch for hot pavement and concrete. These temperatures will increase the temp of those surfaces enough to burn paw pads. Ouch!
• If your pet is outside during the day, make sure they have easy access to complete shade and clean, fresh drinking water. 💦
• Your short nosed friends (Frenchies, pugs, bulldogs, etc) are not heat tolerant and more susceptible to heat stroke.
• Heat stroke is life threatening and can occur much quicker than most owners realize.
