They are napping after their big adventure!

Two new Dexter calves born on the farm within the last week. The first is a little heifer out of my shorty, LiveNLearn Little Legs Lenore. She surprised to come out on her own and needed coaxed by 3 humans! Her tendons were pretty tight but she's now up on her feet and doing well. This was an impatiently awaited first calf for Lenore.
The second is a black bull calf out of LiveNLearn Lisa. He arrived unassisted out in the pasture.
Morning stretches
They are starting to look like Basset Hounds!

Emptying hay wagons with this crew to get ready for more hay!!

The little Basset bundles are growing and eyes are open. They will really start to look like Basset hounds in the heft couple weeks.
If you're looking for a companion that will play and then sleep a lot of the day away, this is the breed!

Basset pups are growing. Can't wait until those ears grow more!

Basset Hound puppies have arrived!! Photos to come after everybody has a good strong start!

A special thanks to my hay helpers. They worked so hard this week helping me with a big hay delivery. We juggled around their already busy schedules of weight lifting, games, jobs, activities, and life. When they could have been relaxing in the A/C in their down time, they didn't hesitate to say yes when asked to help out. They didn't ask what they get out of it. They just showed up, worked hard and were so polite the whole time in this grueling heat. Aside from a few Sibling squabbles, there wasn't any complaining.
They can use me for a reference anytime. I'm so grateful to know them and for their help. I'm also very thankful their parents raised kind young people with serving hearts.
Girls, don't feel limited or left out just because these photos are full of the young boys helping. You could do the job too!! Let me know if you want on the list. Maybe even keep them working harder!!
And it should come as no shock that these are all 4-H members. As we all know, that's where they make the best better!

Hey! We have hay again!
