What could be better than FREE ice cream and FREE face painting? Bring your family and friends and join ESSLA at the Albert E. Monroe Memorial Park in Adirondack on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 4-5:30 p.m. (or until the ice cream runs out). We'll be waiting for you, ready to scoop ice cream from Stewart's Shops (THANK YOU STEWART'S!!!) and pouring on sprinkles, sauces and whipped cream. YUM!
Looking for a few good volunteers! As a loon certified lake, ESSLA agrees to an annual clean up. This year’s is scheduled for August 10, 9 a.m. – noon at the south end of Clark Island (Word of Life Island). If you can spare a few hours, we’d love for you to join us. ESSLA has great news for this Memorial Day weekend! One of our floating nest platforms is already occupied by a pair of loons.
According to one of our board members, "the female was very content on the nest. The male was frolicking around the platform….fishing. All seemed happy!"
