Weeping Hills Farm
We left the suburbs and went 'Green Acres'... cattle, chickens, goats, hogs all are pasture raised. Quality life, quality food!
Friends know us as "The Phunny Pharm", an homage to former work life. At Weeping Hills Farm, we believe in raising our animals naturally and humanely. Our animals graze, browse and forage freely in open pasture, they are not kept confined in buildings or cages and can freely eat a diet of what nature intended. Free-range, grass-fed, and all-natural is our goal for all of our farm's livestock.
Pretty start to the day.
Siblings, 11 months apart.
Found a surprise in the field this morning.

Happy Weekend!
We appreciate cows. It’s their day.
Exciting moos: Today is Cow Appreciation Day.
The cattle had some visitors today. They got up close and even had the chance to pet Inky. Stewie showed how he gets hay on top of his head when he dug into a new bale.
Stewy says, “Snow? What snow?”
Scottish Highland cattle have amazing coats that insulate them from this weather. They have shelter but prefer being outside in almost all conditions except the hot sun or high winds. That’s when they’ll make their way into the shelter *maybe*.

40 plus bales. Ready!
Little guy is 1 week and 1 day old. Hanging with the big ones. Momma is Rosie, the big red cow.
Early morning orange sun. Probably from particulates from wildfires on the other side of the country. Beautiful tho.
Preparing for winter. Getting hay in the barn.
Chickens and ducks are on lockdown and complain to us when we feed them and collect eggs each day. We tell them we understand what it’s like to lose freedom. We’re not allowed out either and it stinks. No, not worried about the carona virus, but that fox has been killing our girls again. Looking forward to a time when we can all enjoy the chance to roam freely again. Stay safe!
